I went with the 6R because the top portion of this dress to super roomy. It didn't quite stay off the shoulders, but the look was still nice as the shoulders rode up sometimes. I hosted a party at my home and everyone said it was the perfect hostess attire. I'm 5'8" and wore flats for comfort. I could have easily worn a heel.

This dress is stunning!!! Great heavy weight fabric perfect for a winter event- definitely have a steamer to steam the bottom. There is a lot of tulle and a slight train so you may feel like you're having a throw back to your wedding day. Yes, you have to pick up your train to get in the car and it's not easy using the restroom but it is totally worth it. I'm 5'8", 150lbs and wore a 2 1/2 inch shoe and the length was perfect. It has a bra insert which was helpful. I orders two sizes a 12L and 10L and they come in a HUGE box. The 12L was too big. I received so many compliments on this dress. Good luck! Great rental.

Wore this dress to the Mayor's Masked Ball charity event and it was a knock out! Plenty of compliments and the ball took place during the Christmas holiday so the red worked well. Details- I'm 5'8" and curvy and usually wear a size 8. I rented a 10L to give me the extra room in the hips that I needed. It tastefully compliments curves and is certainly not a "my hips don't lie", "hey, look at me I got curves" dress, but is totally classy. The bust was perfect and the dress has a built in bra. I wore a 3 1/2 inch high heal shoe with my 5'8" height and the length was perfect. The dress is suppose to hit the ground and shows the tips of your shoes as you walk. All I can say is stunning, stunning, stunning! The fabric is high quality and looks exactly the same in person as it does on the model. This dress is so lovely and looks especially great on taller women. When I packed this dress to ship back, a tear came to my eye. :(
