Overall, I'd say it fits relatively true to size, but if you're in between sizes I would go up. I am typically a size 2 in dresses but ended up wearing the 4 in this one, just to have a bit more room. It fits somewhat tightly across the bust, so if you have a large chest, I would recommend sizing up. Also, if you're curvy around the mid-section, you may want to size up as well... The 4 was a bit loose around the waist, but I knew that once I ate/drank at the wedding I was attending, that the 2 would have been a bit too snug. The dress arrived with one of the clasps on the back hanging on by one thread, so I had to run to the store to get some thread to sew it back on... since these clasps are basically the only thing keeping the top of the dress together. Overall, I loved the dress, it was extremely comfortable, unique and I got a lot of compliments on it.

I loved the look of the clutch, but it barely fit anything at all, so I didn't end up using it. If all you plan on having in there is a phone and maybe one other small item, you should be fine. But anything more than that and it won't close shut.
