The size 2 and the size 4 were virtually identical in size except the 2 draped short over my rear, whereas the hem of the 4 fell evenly in the back. I have short legs and minis are my go-to, but the back of this dress is so short even my husband said something (and he doesn't usually say more than "you look beautiful"). I decided to wear my j brand super skinny coated black denim underneath so I didn't worry about flashing my rear all evening. I wasn't as thrilled about this dress as I usually am with RTR dresses and I only wore it because of the sequins. To be honest, it reminded me of an ice skater costume.

I ordered this in a 4R as a backup and it was too large so I didn't wear it (I'm usually a 2R). I just assumed it would run small because it looks so fitted on the model but I was wrong! The shape and the shirring at the sides will make it flattering on most body types. However, it does run large in the bust.

I couldn't wait to wear this dress! Looks exactly as it did in the picture but flares at the bottom like a mermaid and is longer in the back with a train. If you're large in the bust I would recommend going up a size for a backup. I wore a regular bra and spanks, kate spade black and gold disco pansy chandelier earrings, black heels and clutch; I was comfortable and felt amazing. Even the hang straps stayed tucked away! I don't buy dresses anymore because I'm so spoiled by RTR.

The top is very snug around the ribcage so I would recommend going up a size, and I needed help zipping it up. I didn't need a bra because the top is structured and stays put. The length is long so I wore 5" heels and I still stepped on the hem a few times, but the material is chiffon and flowy which made it easier to walk in. I felt so feminine and pretty.

I was dreaming about wearing this gown but was so sad when it arrived, I thought it was a mistake. It looks white in both photos online but is actually a very strange peachy color, so I went back to read the description and it does indeed say "nude." The hem and the sleeves are short. I'm only 5'2" and the hem was at the floor in bare feet. The 38R (which feels like a size 2) also arrived with the keyhole at the neck detached. The pros are the fabric has a good weight to it and stretches, and it just feels like a vintage gown and is shaped for a woman - if you can get past the color. My first RTR disappointment, but I won't hold it against them because I've had only good experiences until now. I put it back in the mail the same day I received it.

The photo looks like gold silk thread but it's actually sequins, and the hem was not as fitted on me as it looks on the model so was easy to move in. Mid-thigh on me and I have short legs. I wore my extra padded bra and had room for it so if you are a large busted gal you could wear this. I have a belly but you couldn't see it in this dress (always my first thought when renting). You can wear lots of shoes with this look: black, gold, or even hot pink. Love RTR and told everyone who asked where I got my dress - how could they not have heard yet??

The size 0 fit except the right shoulder felt tight and puckered as if it had been repaired, so I would have worn the size 2 which was only slightly larger. The nude liner did not hang lower than the lace like in the photo which was preferable. The dress was a bit more fitted than a shift dress and is short - it was short on me and I have short legs! Overall a beautiful dress but not dressy enough for auction gala I attended so I wore my backup.

I wore this to be the center of attention at my 40th birthday party. I felt very beautiful, modern, and classy and I received nice compliments all evening. The material is very soft which was a nice surprise and the draping and cut was very flattering. I could have fit into the zero but the hem didn't sit flat and it had a faint smell, as if it had been left damp too long. The size 2 had a tear at the waist which was very unusual for RTR to send a dress that was not in like-new shape, but I can understand how it could have been overlooked before sending out with such quick turns. I wore with hot pink/caramel colored sandals, which I wanted to be the center of attention anyway (besides me)!

I felt great in this dress and had plenty of room to move, though be careful that you secure the buttons that hold the halter up or you'll have a wardrobe malfunction for sure! They held all night for me but the dress should include a snap for backup. I did not wear a bra and didn't feel exposed because the top is blousey with ruffles. The front hem is shorter than the back hem and with non-platform heels was the perfect length, I'm 5'2" and rented a 2R. The material is not as luxe as I had hoped and looks a bit cheap for a designer gown, thank god it was black. Comfortable and seriously fabulous!

Whoa, mama! The attention you get from men will astound you! I'm usually a size 2 and the xs was great. The dress is it's own girdle so you have to go with the smallest size you can zip. Holds a tummy trouble spot in nicely. But dang I had the hardest time finding shoes to wear with the navy/magenta. I ended up wearing grey shoes as well, not that it mattered because no one was looking at my shoes.

This dress is HOT and you will get noticed! I don't know how this dress does it but it gives you a sexy fuller behind. The length looked the same on me as it does on the model and I have short legs. The arm holes also fit low as shown, but I was still able to wear a strapless bra. I'm 5'2" and 114 lbs and the 2 was perfect. Thank you again, RTR, for a job well done!

I did not wear this dress, I wore my backup. It felt like armor and didn't drape at all, not to mention the black string across the back. Is that supposed to hold it on the hanger? They don't show it in the photos, it's tacky, and it's not long enough to pin out of sight. I loved the look on the website but was a disaster on my body. May work on someone with large breasts or swimmers upper body, and skinny tush and thighs. Move along, ladies, there are way sexier dresses available on the site.

I received many "hot" comments the evening I wore this dress! It runs a tad small if you have any hips. The folds camouflage a belly beautifully! I wore the shoulder flap under my arm because when worn on the outside you can't raise your arm, looks great either way. Comfortable and sexy? It's yours with this dress.

Runs large on top and small around the leg opening, so if you're thin with large breasts this works for you! I'm a 30D and could not fill the top of a size 2, and the black liner poked out the top. I expected a designer dress to be well made but this was cheaper looking in person. Can't recommend Rent the Runway enough, such a great service and they do it with style!

FYI the top is see-through and the skirt is lined, so I was not a fan of the top at all. The material is not fabric, it's woven yarn like a loosely knit sweater with sequins attached. The skirt is very short and I almost didn't dare, but I pared it with black peep toe pumps and a conservative black loose top and voila! I stood out in a sea full of short cocktail dresses and was comfortable :)

Loved the color but it didn't look great with my skin tone so I wore my backup. The top is cut lower than most dresses, which I found unusual for a straight-across neckline. I found nude shoes looked better than black.
