I so wanted this dress to work. I had ordered another RTR as a back-up, which is what I ended up wearing. The dress is a thicker material with hidden pockets (I love pockets!). The event I was attending was during the winter, so while I knew it ran much shorter than what I normally wear, it paired well with dark leggings or tights, and killer booties. The reason I didn't wear it: it ran small, and while it was a little snug in the chest and hip areas, I was afraid to do any sitting, as it was just to snug, with material that has no give. I'm not super curvy, but do have a little shape, so it didn't work out for me. It might have if I had sized up another size. The arm area did have room and the sleeves are adorable.

Loved this dress, it was hard letting it go! I usually fall between a 2 and 4, which I ended up wearing the 4 as the 2 was too small in the chest area. If you are larger on top, you will have to size up. The 4 fit perfectly in the waist and ribcage area, and while it was snug in the chest area, it still was quite comfortable and the metallic fabric of the dress showed so beautifully. The neckline area is made up of lots of clusters of flowers made of black ribbon in which the centers all have beautiful, sparkly gems/glass beads, thus not needing to worry about a necklace or big showy earrings.

Vibrant shade of red and the back of dress is simply sexy and sweet! While I ended up wearing a different RTR dress, this was a close runner up. It has plenty of room from the WAIS down to have a Spanx free night, but the top is quite revealing if you have a fuller bust. I love it, but decided to go with something that provided a little more coverage at top since it was a work function gala. If you have a smaller bust I think it would work beautifully.

I was nervous initially as I didn't see any prior reviews. But wow, I couldn't have been happier with this dress. It had a vintage vibe, with the fluidity and grace of old Hollywood, along with a sexiness in the peekaboo opening in the front and back, with the long slit on one side, only noticeable when you walked. It is more of a shade of watermelon than fire engine red, which I loved. It was super comfortable and had some room in the hip area for those who may be more pear-shaped. You can wear a shaper if you need to, just need to be mindful of the side slit as it does go fairly high. Length was perfect for me. I'm 5'6 and wore 3" heels, which allowed the dress to just skim the floor.

I wore this dress to a KY Derby gala and I absolutely LOVED it! It is a dark blue and in photos it turns out a beautfiul shade of navy blue. I'm 5'6 and wore a 2.5" heel, which worked out ok, but should have gone with a little higher heel as this dress does run long. There is room in the hip area for a Spanx free evening and you can wear a strapless bra just fine. I got several compliments especially with the racerback, which is a nice unexpected feature. The reason I did not give it a 5, was the dress does run a little large, so you may want to size down one for this dress. I'm a 32C, and it fit ok, but was a little loose on the sides of the bust area, may be better suited for a 34B/C. I originally ordered a SR (small regular) with my backup size XSR, which was what I ended up wearing.

I wore this to a gala where dressing in red was the theme. The red hue is softer than what is projected in the photos, which I loved. I'm 5'6 and ordered the regular length, which with 3' heels it was perfect, as it just skimmed the floor. If you are less than 5'6 and are not comfortable wearing higher heels, the regular size may be too long and you may find yourself stepping on it throughout the night. The bust area fit perfectly, no tugging at top needed. It also has room in the hip/stomach area, which allows for a Spanx free night. It was classy and so comfortable.

This dress is a beautiful deep red and the cut is beautiful. However, I ended up not wearing the dress as I felt it ran a little small and it was too tight in the hip area. This is a dress that is not forgiving, and is not for the timid.

I ended up not wearing this dress as I feel you need to have a fuller bust to fill out the top well. It gaped in areas for me and I am a 32C. Definitely need double-side tape for the front as well. It is a comfortable dress and a beautiful color, but I ended up wearing another RTR dress. The lining peeks out of the outer layer about an 1.5" all around, not sure if that was the way it was supposed to be, as it just didn't look quite right.

While I ended up wearing another RTR dress for a recent event, this was a close runner-up. As other reviewers have noted, this dress is more of a deep bronze than a gold in color, which I felt washed me out a bit with my fair skin. It was very flattering and with a 3" heel you should be fine if you are 5'5-5'7. You can also wear a strapless bra for added support. The only reason it was not a 5 for me was with the lining, it falls a few inches above the knee and I found when I walked around it kept wanting to ride up, which then caused a "lumpy" hip look, which I had to straighten out a few times, so I opted to forgo the dress and wear my back-up one. If you are more straight and narrow in this area, it most likely would not cause an issue.
