The large was a little more comfortable but I could've worn the medium too.. personal choice. The snap on the front did not allow the material to lay flat and I had to adjust it frequently. A black bra did fine underneath it... had to wear a bra since it was slightly more sheer on than I expected. I was disappointed that it wasn't as shiny as it looked in the pictures . It was more solid black in person than in the photo. The length was great for me 5'9 with heels on.

The sleeves are a little short but good if you are going to dinner because longer sleeves would have difficult. I could have worn the size 8 but it was tighter and since we were going to a broadway show I wanted to be comfortable sitting . The sleeves are an open lace so plan for that in cooler weather. There is very little stretch to the fabrics so the 10 was better. I like being able to wear a bra with fancy clothes and this was no problem. I felt perfectly dressed for the occasion.

Fit is difficult. I thought i'd need a medium but i had to wear the large because the bust area was too tight. Then the hips were loose and creased a little in the front as you can see in the picture. I really felt that i neded a bra but couldnt wear one due to how tight the top was. I wore a sticky bra to cover because the fabric was unforgiving and any buldge was visible.this color is beautiful especially with a nice tan! I actually liked the dress for this business event/party and liked that it was unique but im glad i dont have to keep it.

I usually wear an 8 or 10. The 8 fit perfect. I did not have to wear a bra since the dress fit so nicely. I am 5'9 and with tall heels the tall length was necessary. This dress did not gap or bunch, the slit was nice without being too revealing and the sequins did not rub at the seams.
