This must be the last dress I wore from Tibi before they started sizing their line WAY up... it seems like now every dress of theirs I try on runs really large. Thankfully, this dress does not. I wore this to my sister's graduation in New Orleans. I usually don't go for black dresses, but the awesome print on this won me over. I'm a 32B and this dress could definitely have accomodated a larger bust- that was my only very minor fit issue, I had to pull it up a few times. The top is constructed really well, and you definitely don't need a bra if you don't want one! Also, I looooved that this was a mini-dress on me, because it's so hard to find something that's a mini when you are barely 5'2". The material was outstanding, and I do think this is a very versatile dress that could be worn on many occasions- it would be great for a formal wedding, beach wedding, or night on the town, all depending on how you accesorize it!

I styled myself and picked this out to go with the Helmut Lang Mesh Tank dress. I am SO glad I sprung for the jewelry- this necklace gave my simple dress just the right amount of oomph. I love statement necklaces but often don't wear big jewelry because it overwhelms my petite frame- this necklace was the perfect size, and very light weight. It was my first time renting jewelry from RTR, and I now I don't know if I'll be able to go back to just getting dresses!

I really wish I would have kept track of the photo I took in this dress:( I love Tibi for their prints and the high quality of their dresses; I also always love the feel of their silk dresses. This dress is so beautiful, and the fabric is like butter, but I really feel that it doesn't at all belong in the "good for petites" category. I did end up wearing the 0, but it was boxy in the top and huge in the waist. I thought the length of it was actually perfect for the business convention formal dinner to which I wore it. I gathered the back of the dress in the back and pinned it with two giant safety pins at the waist- because of the vibrant pattern, I don't think it was hugely noticeable. It kind of sucked to not have it fit, but you can definitely fiddle with it and make it wearable! All in all- flirty and modest and beautiful, but not super ideal for petites.

If you are slender and on the shorter side, this dress is a dream. Definitely the top pick of the 6 dresses I've rented from RTR!!! The underslip is quite short as previous reviewers have mentioned, but for me it was only a minor issue when I was seated. The chest is plunging- I would not recommend this dress for those over a B-cup, as bust coverage is rather scant. VERY appropriate for the gala Manhattan wedding I wore it to!!! If you are self conscious about your hips this may not be the dress for you, as the drapes do add some volume, but I thought it looked lovely. What a gorgeous dress, I highly recommend it for petites.

I ordered this dress in both the 0 and the 2, and could have easily worn either; if your size isn't available, I'd say one could go up/down a size without much bother. I LOVED this dress- it's a great alternative if you want a body con dress but don't want to be one of a dozen girls walking around in Herve Leger. The construction was outstanding, and the cut was fantastic. The color was kind of a putty/gray- I would hesitate to wear it to an actual wedding because it's semi in the white range, but it was perfect for the second wedding reception I attended. I can see that if you have an ample bust, the cut of the top may be revealing. As for me- 32 B- the material strapped me in and bolstered me so well I didn't even have to wear a bra! I just used some stick on cups for coverage under the light color and was good to go. Paired this with a House of Harlow necklace. PERFECT for short, petite, slender body types!
