I wore this dress for formal Holiday pictures with my family. It was a simple design that offered a good design element in the leg slit, which kept the dress from being too boring. My only issue was the length of the sleeves - for me, they were shorter than I'd prefer them to be, but I'm also 5'9 with long extremities. So, that might not pose an issue for someone else. All-in-all, I looked great in it and would recommend it to others for a simple, sophisticated, quietly sexy option.

I rented this dress for a family wedding along with the Tory Burch, Robinson Spazzolato Top Handle Chain Wallet. I wear a size 12/14, L/XL in all of my clothing - took a chance and rented the 16 R because it was what was available at the time, and it fit perfectly. I've never rented from this company before, so I am not sure if all of their designs are cut a little on the smaller side. But, I'm happy that I did go up in size - had I gone with a 14, I would have been able to fit the waist, but my breasts would have definitely NOT been able to be contained. As it was, it was perfect. I felt very comfortable all night, even after eating and dancing. The design is so lovely and delicate and perfectly feminine. My only complaint is that because of the embroidered design, it snags easily. And you can see the wear from the previous clients in the dress. I had to snip quite a few pulled thread before I comfortable enough to put it on without having any issues with it. Aside from that, I'd absolutely recommend this dress. Just make sure to get your free 2nd size just in case you aren't sure of the sizing with this designer.

I ordered this dress for my niece's sweet 16 event. It was very lovely. The material was very similar to the Herve Leger bandage dresses, but not as much compression. Enough to feel held together, but not "sardined" in. My favorite part was the bottom - fun, a little flirty. Just an all around great dress. I'd definitely rent again, and recommend. XL fit me perfectly and I'm a size 14.

Pros: This dress has a really nice understated beauty to it. The material has a really nice weight. I always think navy is such a classy color. So, that was a plus. The structure (boning and lining) is really nice and felt like great quality. Cons: Not really so much for the dress. I think I just am broader than the average, with a large bust that doesn't always agree with corseted, close-fitting clothing at this point in my life. So, unfortunately I wasn't able to wear it because it was way too tight across both my bust and ribcage. I'd definitely rent again once I lose weight.

I rented this dress along with a blue sweater dress with cutouts from RTR, as my birthday brunch options. Because I, unfortunately, had an early monthly visitor, I couldn't wear the blue sweater dress (couldn't wear underwear with that specific dress), and so I had to go with this 2nd option. It's a good thing that I really liked both dresses. This dress was comfortable because it's barely there...very thin, mesh material! Only Con: The lining of the dress is shorter than I'd prefer - I really prefer it when linings are longer under these types of thin/mesh dresses, so that the bottom half doesn't look unfinished. Also, they always seem to rise up anyway, so why make them so short to begin with? But, given the fact that I was bloated the material was very forgiving and I didn't feel confined. Definitely a dress more suited for warmer weather. I wore it on one of the coldest days in January and if I wasn't being driven, I'd be freezing. LOL!

I ordered this dress along with a 2nd option for my birthday brunch in January. It would have been the perfect dress (my birthday was ridiculously cold and we were hopping between 3 different venues), however, because of a monthly visitor, I was unable to wear it. You really can't wear any sort of undergarment if you want this dress to look right with the cutouts. Or, if you do, they have to be minimal and definitely nude/skin colored and seamless/thin thongs and bra. Because of the situation, I was unable to do that, but the dress was impeccable otherwise and I do plan on renting again for another occasion in the future. I'd err on the side of ordering one size down. Just in case you opt to go bra-less, the material will be more form fitting and allow a little bit of support. Also, it's a sweater dress, so although it shows every curve and bulge, it's also forgiving.

I decided on this dress for my recent birthday party. I rented the Medium with the Large as a back up. I have a few Herve Leger band skirts that are sized medium, but because of the reviews, and because I have a broad athlete's back, I was unsure about how the torso would fit on me. The inside bra straps really help with making sure the back zips up as seamlessly as possible (however, like another reviewer mentioned, my cousin had a hard time getting the straps to latch--the metal part is very tight). But I'm OCD and made her stick it out until it was latched. Glad I did. It helped tremendously in helping me feel nice and secure in knowing that I wasn't going to bust the zipper getting it up. Although I opted to wear Spanx, I have to be honest in saying, they didn't do much in making the dress that much more easy to fit into. If you're a Medium, you're a Medium w/ or w/out the Spanx. They did help to make things look way more smoothed out, but that was about it. I tried on the Large first and it was too big...given my figure, the medium fit as the dressed was intended to fit. I received the dresses early on the day I was slated to receive it and the little extras that came with them were very thoughtful. Overall, I am soo happy with my first "Rent The Runway" experience. I received soo many compliments Saturday night. And felt so beautiful. Thanks ladies!
