I rented a different colorway but similar dress from Marie Oliver last year and this one is so much bigger. The neckline in front was too deep to wear without an undershirt.

Fits huge - not for small chest
I’m typically a small or medium, so I rented the medium in this but it was huge. The arm holes gaped very low and the bust area had a lot of extra fabric. If you are short or not well endowed, size way down!

So luxe, so many compliments
For a black dress, I have received so, so many compliments on this! It is extremely luxe and heavy (in a good way) and the fabric feels incredible. The way the skirt moves when I walk is like something out of a movie. One woman actually demanded to look at my tag to find out where it’s from. Highly recommend.

Loved this, wish button placement was different
This was surprisingly cute and I wish I'd kept it longer! My only issue was that the button at the waist was slightly below where the waist tightened, so there was always a slight gap in between buttons. I wish the front had been fake buttons, with a zipper in the back.

Gorgeous outer layer, tricky slip
This was a beautiful dress - the outer layer is absolutely gorgeous. However, it has an attached slip which was difficult to maneuver. At this price point, I was surprised it wasn’t one integrated dress. Probably made it feel cheaper than it was.

For some reason I’d thought the ribcage area was ruched and stretchy — as a warning, it is not. I ordered the size I usually order in this brand and it was so small I had no hope of zipping it up. Gorgeous dress otherwise!
