This was a backup dress when my original choice did not work out. I am mid-40s and worried this dress might look older but it was very pretty and comfortable on. I wear size 6 in regular clothing and the size 8 dress fit perfectly (even though I expected to have to size up more). I opted to wear shapewear underneath to smooth things out but it was not necessary and fit well without it. I was able to wear a strapless bra under the dress without it showing. I am 5'4" and wore a kitten heel to get the dress just off the ground (I'm not wearing shoes in the attached photo). It was very comfortable to sit and dance in and I got a lot of compliments on it at the event.

This dress is beautiful and fun and could've been great for the "creative formal" wedding for which I rented it. I read in several other reviews that others struggled with the zipper but thought I'd be fine. Girl, no. I could not get the zipper down to try the dress on and then, after a lot of effort and swearing, realized that even if I could get the zipper open I was not up for repeating that level of effort to get back out of the dress and then in and out of it again the day of the event. I was not able to try it on but my guess is that it would have been mid-shin length on me (at 5'4") which would have been a little long for the style. The material is velvety and has sequins so I would not have been comfortable using hem tape to temporarily alter the length due to concerns of damaging the material.

I loved this dress and had visions of wearing it with a red wrap for a "creative formal" wedding. I wear a size 6 in regular clothing and needed the Large to fit my midsection and hips (which makes sense given the size chart). The bust area was too loose for me and, while the spaghetti straps can be adjusted a fair amount, I would have needed to add fashion tape under my arm pits to address areas the where the dress stuck out. I had a petite length and a regular length sent to me. I could have worn the petite length with flats at 5'4" but would have worn a small heel with the regular length dress.

I wore this necklace and the Theia So Jaded dress to a wedding. When I first opened the box I was worried that the necklace would be too heavy or look a little cheap but it looked lovely and I hardly noticed I was wearing it most of the night (except when someone complimented it!). I'd definitely rent this necklace again!
