You might get lucky
I rented based off of other people with similar body types/sizes/height. I’ve rented + owned dresses like this (boobs are supported by two knotted pieces of material) so I thought it would be a-ok. It wasn’t awful, but I’m glad I had a better option. I love the idea, the material was soft, it obviously fits some people nicely. I am into construction re: garments, and this cut is just tricky. You need to have the right boob-to-back proportions. So if you do, you’re the lucky winner. Boobs of different shapes/sizes + you like to have support? You’ll probably not love this bc it has no shape of its own and the material is thin. Just tricky. I wouldn’t say “don’t rent” bc it may look great, but also be prepared for it to be a lot of skin on top and to fit kind of weird. Did not wear

I put that it fit ‘just right’ bc I sized down. And even then it was still a little large, but the slip was the right size. I wore it with a belt because otherwise I would’ve been swimming in fabric. I wish I’d take pictures of my rentals 🙄 sorry. DEFINITELY booby (that’s why I included the only picture I’ve got) you’ll want to keep an eye on it. Overall I loved the colors, vibrant but not attention calling, and not “pastel”. Just soft. I enjoyed that even though there was a lot of material, there was a sexy cleavage and a high slit. I felt comfortable and not self conscious (other than to not have a nip slip) It’s a bold choice, and you have to be able to wear it confidently, accessorize lightly. You’ll stand out. I got many compliments. Rent!

I’m the worst at taking pics of my rentals. Sorry. This pair of sunglasses was so lovely to have because they are obviously “plain” ie no bold colors or designs or shapes, but it looked refined and easily chic. Got many compliments. Rent!

This dress was so comically awful I had to send a picture to my friends. 🫣 It is thin, flimsy, does zero shaping, has no tailoring effort, I wouldn’t expect this kind of dress to be found outside of a forever 21. Did not wear.

1) It is flattering! 2) The material feels a little like a gauze. Great for hot weather, but not elevated. 3) While the dress fit well, the arm holes were a little on the smaller side - it started chafing after only a couple of hours. 4) I’m 5’2 and it was a bit short. I don’t mind short but I was very concerned about a breeze or even a slight bend. 5) you’ll need to steam/iron before wearing it

It has a little bit of stretch, comfortable to wear a whole day, dress up or down. Rails obviously knows how to cut a button down. Flattering for all body types.

Works for everything
At first sight I thought the quilted arms were going to be silly but I loved wearing it. The material is soft, the colors are muted and pattern is beautiful. Well made. I felt great in it and received compliments. Easy to move in, I wore it to meet with clients and coffee with friends. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if not for the price.

Weird waist
So I enjoy the intended style of waist. It usually creates a very easy, comfortable and flattering waist. But the band is very… wide? Tall? Idk how to describe it. So it’s just this very highlighted point of interest that does nothing for the shape. Folding it does nothing other than shorten an already short skirt. I ordered the suggested size, but maybe I should’ve ordered the L? That would’ve been too spacious. It wasn’t bad but it’s a no for me.

Not Fabulous
The texture of the fabric was thick (idk if there’s a better way to say that?), even though it was soft material. The colors were a little muted. Shapeless. It was difficult to make it look nice. I styled it with a belt, my husband thought it looked adorable, I thought it was meh and that our barista (who we see almost daily) would think I’m weird lol. If it’s your style, try it! You may like it.
