Beautiful but Too Tight
I wore this dress to my Teacher of the Year gala. I looked nice in it but it was too tight in the waist and hips and a little too big in the chest. My stomach and butt were competing for space in the dress. I'm short but the regular hit right at the floor with a short block heel. It was difficult to get this dress on and off but I managed to sit and walk around okay. The material of the dress is nice and thick but there is no stretch whatsoever. If you are a curvy girl or plus size, I do not recommend this dress.

I wore this dress to a teacher of the year gala. I felt AMAZING and received SO many compliments!!! This was my first time using Rent the Runway and this experience did NOT disappoint. I read through the all the reviews, paying special attention to women with a similar body type to mine. I am SO glad I read the reviews. Several customers mentioned that the dress runs short and it does! So I ordered the 12R and 14R. Both dresses fit nicely. The material is stretchy and flattering on my curves. The 12R really accentuated my curves but was tighter on my stomach so I decided to wear with the 14R. I am 5'2" and with a short heel, my dress hit right at the floor. The back is slightly longer than the front, like a train but it is totally manageable. The shoulderless side was a little big around the sideboob area and back but it was not noticeable at all. I was also concerned about a "wardrobe malfunction" (think Janet Jackson at the superbowl) but the shoulder side was secure enough along with a good, tight strapless bra and spanx. Lastly, when I hugged people, the sequins would get caught on certain materials which was slightly annoying but not that big of a deal. All-in-all, the dress fit great and I looked and felt amazing. And added bonus is that the process of ordering and returning the dress was so simple! I'm so happy that a friend recommended this company! Oh by the way, I won Teacher of the Year for my school district the night I wore this dress so it has a special place in my heart!!!
