Wore this to a Nov black tie optional wedding in Mexico. I got so many compliments! It's definitely small, especially in the busy - I wish I had had a large to compare to, but the medium worked and the boning on the sides wasn't too restrictive. Loved the pockets too, deep enough to fit everything I needed for the evening so I didn't need a purse, plus the weights on the hem meant I could dance with things in them and they stayed in the pocket. Would definitely rent again!

I loved this dress and got tons of compliments! Wore it for an Indian wedding - the gold detailing made me feel like I fit in with all the gorgeous saris. If I could afford it, I'd buy this dress outright because I got so many compliments. Perfect for slightly more formal weddings/events or for the dreaded "black tie optional" events. Fit: Ended up going with the 4 (my usual size) but I'm glad the 6 was my backup. It was a little too tight in the 4 to wear a bra, which was ok because there was boning that made a bra unnecessary. However, there isn't a ton of support (no actual cups, just tight fabric) so if I had wanted to wear a bra, I would have needed the 6. As others have mentioned, the underskirt is a pencil skirt beneath the tulle. I was still able to dance, but it's not quite as roomy as the silhouette would suggest. The pencil skirt did make me feel like my butt was covered even when dancing and the flouncy parts would swish up. Another advantage is that it needs very little in the way of accessories - I had simple gold earrings and black pumps and let the dress speak for itself. Also - not sure if my profile is showing it, but my bust is 34C.
