I usually wear a 4, because of my hips but I am very small up top. I ended up wearing the 2 because it fit perfectly at the top and was not too tight on my hips. If you are 5'6" like me, you will need to order the long. I wore a long with 3" heels and it was perfect. It hit the ground, but was not too long or too short. I like my long formal dresses to skim the ground, where you can't see your shoes and this dress did that! Overall, the experience with RTR was great, simple, and not complicated. I love it! Especially for formals cause I usually spend a lot of money on a dress and only wear it one or two times!
