I'm usually a 6-8, and the 8 fit perfectly. You cannot wear undergarments with this dress because of the cut outs. I used a sticky bra. The lining inside was short (you can see in the picture how it rises up to my gut area), so I kept having to tug at it all night to smooth it out. Long length was perfect and this dress is my favorite rental.
