I originally planned for floor-length bright red, ruffled, off shoulder dress with a side slit for a friend's wedding at a country club during November in the Southern US. It was initially upset that I wasn't my original choice but happy RTR was able to accommodate me. I love the deep, dark red color, which was great for the season. The length was on the border of potentially not being a good choice since the dress was a little tight and due to my body shape, it would ride up whenever I walked or danced. Therefore, it was a bit annoying to keep tugging at the hem all night. The material was a bit stiff but insulated enough that I wasn't cold when we were outdoors for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The side cutouts were a nice detail to an otherwise simple dress. I got lots of compliments on the color and how well it coordinated with my skintone (I'm a light-medium). I would recommend going up a size or getting the backup a size bigger since it does go off of European sizing rather than US.

The fit was a bit tight but that was my fault for not ordering the 8R as a backup. I would have gone with the 8R but was worried it would have been to loose in the chest area (pear body problems!). Besides that, the dress was amazing. I could comfortably walk and dance in it all night long. In person, it does look more purple but when using flash photography, it looks more magenta. I was surprised by the illusion side panel near the chest but luckily the nude color matched my skin tone perfectly so it just added a little hint of sex appeal. I love the ruffles sleeves, it added a modern twist to an otherwise plain gown. I received compliments all night long so I definitely recommend this dress!

The fit was true to size. A bit snug in the hip area but I have very big hips. The 8 was too big in the bust and hip area for my taste. It hugged me curves in all the right places and made me feel like I was celebrity on the red carpet! I got so many compliments on how gorgeous the dress was and how well it went with my skin tone. The only annoying part was the sequins ended up giving me tiny rashes on the undersides of my arms from rubbing against the skin all night. Besides that, I would definitely recommend this dress!
