Wrap dress shenanigans.
This is my platonic ideal of a work dress — chic, a little bit classic, a little bit trendy, a little bit artsy. However the fit up top was not great and it gaped open all day.

Too casual for me
I think this bag was what made me realize the teddy trend isn't for me. The bag was in good shape but not pristine. Unless a teddy style is factory-fresh it reminds me of an old bathmat. Ultimately this was just too casual for my taste.

Just OK
Loved the hem but otherwise the skirt is just ok. It has a fly, belt loop and pockets like a pair of trousers, which are details I dislike on skirts because they add bulk and affect the fit and styling possibilities.

Clingy not swingy
I expected this to be a mod-style a-line that was structured and skimmed over curves but it's made of ponte so it clung to my butt and stomach (thereby ruining the vision I had in my mind). Returned right away.

Pretty but didn't work for my body type
I'm a short waisted, slim shouldered pear. This is the type of dress that would be great if I owned it and got it altered. It was very flattering on my hips and butt but the top was way too large for my bust and shoulders. If you have a longer torso / broader shoulders / bigger boobs / hourglass figure, I think it would work.

Alley Cat's Birthday Party
...at least that's where I imagine wearing these earrings. In reality I wore them to an event and out for dinner and drinks, and they were just a ton of fun. Surprisingly light too for such a large pair of earrings. Will definitely rent again.

Elevated yet relaxed
The sleeves were a little more billowy on me than on the model, which added some fun drama to the look. Very easy to wear, length was perfect for me, nicely finished curved hem. The fabric was wrinkled by end of day but not a dealbreaker. Overall a nice piece for a casual day.

Compliments galore!
Wore this to work and it was a big hit. I think this dress is super versatile -- I'd wear it dressed down with flat sandals in summer or dresses up for a more formal event. Will definitely rent again. A few styling notes: I wore this in winter (on a mild day) with tights and boots. The combo of this fabric plus tights was staticky. So I will probably save my repeat rentals for spring and summer. I did wear a shaping tight but overall shape was flattering for a pear.

Fun! Runs long
I'm not a fan of tying a knot in my shirts and it looked awkward just hanging full length on me as I'm on the shorter side. I found it difficult to tuck into jeans due to the length but it was easy to tuck into a black skirt. Wore with black tights and cute boots for a night of drinks. Warning that the buttons gapped as I moved and I'm small busted -- so wear a layer underneath if you plan to wear to work.

My fault for picking the wrong size
I definitely think this runs very true to size -- I'm a small-medium in tops and while I could put the 2 on, it's too snug under the arms and around the hips. Will size up and try again.

Not for short torsos
Tried a large although I'm usually a S-M in tops but peplums can be a tough fit. The placement of the waistline didn't work for me (I have a high hip/short torso). However it's a beautiful top.
