I thought by getting a larger size it would compensate for my wide hips (49”) Nope. If you’re pear shaped this isn’t the dress for you.

GIANT CIRCUS TENT
This dress was beautifully constructed, but it’s one where it shouldn’t be worn by anyone shorter (5’3”) and pear shaped. The sleeves are large balloons and the skirt is extremely wide.

Others said this dress ran small so I got a Size 18. This dress is beautiful. It has an almost empire waistline, which measured 36” around under the bust. The hips were 42 inches. This dress runs small.
