5/5 for beauty but not super functional
Good for an event, more for show then function. There are 2 zippers to open the top that lead to the middle from either side of the "M" shape, so it needs to be opened and closed with both hands. The structured ribs giving the bag its shape dig in towards the middle of the bag, so you have to be slow and gentle when taking things in and out (even though the bag was sturdy--you just have to maneuver larger items in there to get them past the ribs) Not convenient for running around NYC. Sooo beautiful though!

Good for a concert
Fit fine (I have narrow hips), but the waistline looked unfinished/ had no structure which made the skirt less flattering. Also hard to match with--I randomly had a shirt and Fanny pack that matched perfectly so I felt comfortable, but it doesn't look good with white or black, weirdly.

Beautiful color
You’ve gotta wear this with the Sephora brand Intense Ink Liner in “satin cobalt blue”! Wore it with black pants and then with the Marni dress also from RtR (it has royal blue stripes). It’s a bit boxy all buttoned up, esp. from the side; I preferred it unbuttoned. But the color is so striking that it de-emphasizes the awkwardness of the torso. The inner lining is a satiny royal blue.

Literally perfect
Wore this to an art gallery opening. This is my 2nd time renting this dress. The safety and security that I feel zipping this all the way up is unmatched. It holds me together, looks incredible from every angle. Emphasizes my shoulders with even MORE shoulder, flatters my waist, makes it look like I have hips, makes me feel like a witch princess. POCKETS. The fabric is very light and soft, no wrinkles! The length was perfect because of the flare. I can see it working on a much taller woman too. The only reason I’m not buying this is because it’s too spectacular to wear often enough to justify owning it. The world doesn’t deserve to behold its magnificence more than once per year.

Feminine + Flattering
Button downs usually don’t work for me with my wide shoulders + larger bust. More feminine / embellished shirts usually work best, and this one was perfect. No puckering between the buttons and the asymmetricality was flattering on my narrow waist. Also, the fabric felt light + airy but also expensive, and never wrinkled—all the pleats folded just right and I did not need to steam or iron at all.
