Perfect Bangle for a Beachside Wedding
After weeks of searching high and low for jewelry accessories to wear with a vintage, silk maxi (thanks Mom!) to a good friend's wedding, I turned to Rent the Runway, desperate for help. Thankfully, RTR answered my prayers and I was able to easily and quickly rent this item. Without issue, RTR was able to ship the bangle to my hotel and it arrived in a padded box, looking beautifully polished and near brand new just 24 hours before the event. In addition to a pair of statement earrings I borrowed from my sister, this bangle truly finished my outfit with plenty of high style.

Birthday Surprise = Perfect Proposal
After receiving an emailed voucher, I decided to rent this truly adorable Lily Pulitzer fuchsia shift to wear for a small, intimate birthday dinner. Although I also chose to order a backup in a larger size, the zero fit perfectly, even in spite of my short stature. The sleeves fit a tad snug for someone who typically wears more loosely cut tops, but were still more than comfortable and in no way felt restrictive. To additionally note, the hem length was perfect for 5'2" me, but might present a problem for more vertically gifted ladies. Most importantly, though, to my udder surprise, my sweet boyfriend proposed to me in the courtyard of our favorite restaurant (while our friends hid like paparazzi in the bushes). For such a momentous and romantic occasion, I couldn't have felt more beautiful and well-styled thanks to RTR!

Perfect statement necklace for any occasion.
Worn to my sister's graduation with the Shoshanna 'Judith' dress, this necklace provided a beautifully finished look to the otherwise simply styled outfit. Well-constructed, it was light enough to comfortably wear, and despite its ornate construction, appeared classy without seeming gaudy, or resembling costume jewelry. Plus, with a quick change of footwear and a different jacket, allowed the outfit to seamlessly transition from the daytime ceremony to a party later that night. At a less-than-a-Starbucks price point, renting this item, for whatever occasion, is a no-brainer.

Gorgeous statement necklace. Received tons of compliments the entire evening.
This was definitely a "love at first sight" sort of item and it arrived looking even more stunning in person. While the grosgrain, ribbon ties were extremely wrinkled, some light ironing quickly solved that problem and had them looking good as new. Paired with the simple, low cut cocktail dress I chose to wear, this necklace infused the outfit with the sort of classy sophistication it desperately needed and made everything else I wore, from earrings to heels, look more expensive and refined. Definitely recommend this item to anyone looking to make an impressive statement at their next special occasion.

"Mint" to be dress perfection
Petites rejoice! If standard clothing sizes normally look too long, too big or just plain oversized on your small frame, this dress was made with you in mind. Thanks to the higher cut neckline, well-positioned arm holes and tailored bodice, this lacy mint number sidesteps the typical fit issues that many a petite lady experiences. It paired perfectly with the Slate & Willow 'Luncheon' necklace I also rented, for all-day graduation events and family portraits. Nevertheless, proofs from the portrait session revealed a little "peek-a-boo" bra strap action in a handful of photos (especially side profile), but was unaware of any wardrobe malfunctions the day I wore it. Definitely game to rent again, but will likely criss-cross my bra straps to prevent any future issues. Enjoy!

Super cute, classic Kate Spade detailing. Perfect for just about anything
After an extensive search for something to wear to my sister's graduation, I instantly fell in love with this adorable Kate Spade number, especially the cleverly concealed front pockets and bow detailing. As a very short and pretty petite person, though, the dress itself fit perfectly, with the exception of the straps; they were inevitably too long, so some small adjustments had to be made (built-in bra strap anchors did help). Nevertheless, it still fit high enough in the underarm area for the strap length to be an almost non-issue. Upon close inspection, it was clear that it's a dress that has been well-loved and enjoyed by many, but still looks great, photographs well and certainly has several more wears left. Comfortable enough to be easily worn all day, but large busts and rib cages beware, this dress is designed to fit snugly, so if in doubt, be sure to also order your second size one size up from your usual dress size. Overall, a universally flattering fit on just about everyone, whether you're 5'2" (like me) or 5'7", like my sweet "little" sister. Enjoy!
