i usually size up with jackets/sweaters/anything long sleeve because of my long arms. the arm length was fine, but as someone with a small chest and waist, i feel like this jacket wouldn't zip up on a true medium. i couldn't even fit my arms in the sleeves if i was wearing a knit sweater. very cute, but not my style. much more true black than the photos show

hung really weirdly on my 5'9" frame — ended up not wearing because it was too tight in the shoulders/armpits (i do have decently broad shoulders). didn't look intentionally asymmetrical and my s/o asked from a distance if i buttoned the shirt wrong. was way too baggy and short to tuck any part of it in, so it just looked bad with any skirt/pants i tried it on with. maybe would be better for someone with narrower shoulders, a smaller chest, and wider hips.
