Unique sexy comfortable
Comfortable, sexy. Not sure how to wear this, as the denim and lace is a bold look. I wore it to my daughter’s evening dance recital and that’s about all I could eke out for this hot little number.

Maximum flattery
I own this dress is another pattern after wearing this dress in another pattern from RTR. A DELUGE of compliments. HOWEVER the black RTR tag that is visible and cannot be removed without consequence (that I’m not sure would have been an issue had I not read a review on it before renting it) became a deal breaker and I didn’t get to wear this 3rd version of my favorite dress :(

Felt super cool in this top
Borrowed this look from another renter, and was reeeeallllllt feeling myself. Top is comfortable. Love not having to wear a bra yet deride the same support I would in a bra. The downside: did not know how else to wear this top, as the shape has that tip in the front, at the waist. It looked weird with pants PLEASE ADVISE

More flattering on someone looking to add a little oomph to their hips
This dress would’ve been business-casual fire had my hips not been at peak width when I wore it. (Picture is more flattering than IRL, I would’ve posted a bad one but looks like I was hiding behind other people in photos.) Fully realize that is a me-problem. The main drawback of this dress is that the cuffs on the sleeves mean SERIOUS business. I would whine less over the hips had the cuffs been more tame.

Low-key crushed my holiday card in this dress
So this was a great fit, color/pattern was a solid B, and the layers were sweet n spicy. However, the wrinkles in the layers were IMPOSSIBLE to iron out. I very much hate ironing, so normally I just exist wearing wrinkly clothes if it calls for any ironing and try to pretend like “oh it just got wrinkled,” but was DETERMINED in this case to try. Couldn’t get the wrinkles out. Still took the pics and hoped the energy of the layers masked the wrinkles of the layers. If I may add an unimportant critique, I feel like the halter tie could’ve been more robust.

Albeit the neckline is fairly low. I feel like this dress has a little bit of an identity crisis. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. I think I wore it on an evening at the theater where I wasn’t looking for compliments and was mostly sitting in a dark room.

This dress is magic. Gotta love the yellow if you’re gonna rock this, but even if you are a Scrooge and hate yellow, the cut of the dress is so flattering and forgiving that it completely overrides whatever color is on it. The fabric is dope, too.

Wanted this to work. I wish it was structured in a way so that I could shorten the straps. Ultimately, the long straps wasn’t what did it in… it was the heaviness and thus didn’t wear. Was a little too mermaid for me in the hips in that particular moment.

I’m not sure if these are better than the barrel cut ones that I’m obsessed with, but if not, they’re certainly a very close second. I predict that they transcend the annual ever-changing new jeans-trend du jour. New favorite pants
I would 100% buy these, but I lost 7 lbs in the duration of my rental time with these and they’re a little loose at the waist. One of the many benefits of these pants— they sorta adjust to your size almost magically. So, I spent an hour scouring the internet and you just can’t buy them if you’re within the middle of the bell curve of sizes. I even made a special trip to the mall (vomit) to try to grab some at the Levi’s store, to no avail. Because of that, I’m afraid to return them back to RTR and may have to accumulate extra spots (scream).

Not too small, too short. Wanted it to work
If you’re someone who could use a little more bulk around the hips, this is probably for you, as there is extra volume created by the redundant fabric of the skirt. For my hips and I, it just throws me off balance. It was way too short for me at the sides of my thighs (it undulates with the sides being shorter than the front and back). I should know better at this point not to rent these things… but I really wanted it to work and wear it every day this summer. :(

I felt amazing in this dress. It procured MANY compliments. LoveShackFancy vibes. Don’t sleep on this rental. Definitely short but I made it work. Downside: when you sit down, your butt will fully be on the surface of the chair, as the back of the dress is too short to fold beneath your @$$. Worth it. Also, not 100% comfortable if that is a deal breaker, as it often is for me. Still worth it.
