I’m a little smaller on top so finding the right bra for the cut of the top of this dress was a challenge. Some said they could go without a bra and the material definitely would allow For that but it wasn’t snug enough on my Top To give that level of support. Going down a size would have made it tight on my hips. Taping and different strap configurations were still difficult to hide because of how open the neck is. I basically fought with a strapless bra all night. No biggie. It’s surprisingly comfortable to sit in.

The material is heavy in a good way. Very forgiving and flattering. At 155 pounds, with most of my weight in my hips and thighs I can wear anywhere from a size 8 to a 12 depending on the cut of a dress. I went out on a limb getting an 8 based on the reviews from other women of this dress and it paid off. I generally wear a 10 in most things, but this 8 was made for me. I was really comfortable to sit in and dance in. At my age, I don't have the greatest looking thighs and your spanx will definitely show because of the slit riding so high, so I bought a pair of "Assets by Spanx" pantyhose at Target and got a really smooth butt, inner thighs and no spanx showing when sitting and dancing.
