Didn’t Love
The color is fun, but it was weirdly fitted across my midsection, which is my least favorite part. Did not wear it.

SO LOW CUT.
Maybe I needed to try this on in the small, but it wasn't available. The stretchy material probably would have allowed me to size down. The pros are that this dress is VERY forgiving in all the right places. The thick material, ruching and color all make it perfect for hiding any trouble spots in your midsection. It's cut high enough in the front to be sexy. The biggest con for me is that it was SO low cut in the front. I wanted sexy, and I wanted to show cleavage, but this dress would have prohibited wearing any sort of bra to help me achieve said cleavage. This might have worked better if I had a long torso or a bigger chest. I am a 34 B/C.

VERY low cut
The color is beautiful, the fabric is heavy and there are cute button details at the sleeve. That said, the fabric has no stretch. It was snug against my biceps, and I am by no means muscular. The skirt is short and very "cutesy", but that is in stark contrast to the top which is very low cut. Because the fabric doesn't stretch, you can't really adjust the depth of the V neck, so it would either need to be no bra or a camisole. If you have a long torso or small chest, this might work better for you. I am a 34 B/C.

Beautiful dress, runs a bit large.
This dress runs a bit large through the shoulders/chest area, and also a tad long (though I am short). I really wish I could have tried it in a 4R, but it wasn't available for my event. The fabric has plenty of give, and ultimately I didn't end up wearing my sick-on bra because the top edge of it showed through the lace. I feel like that would have been ok in the 4, or that it may not have shown in the smaller size, but it ended up being fine. All of that said, the dress is beautiful!!! The back is gorgeous, the lace is pretty and while the dress shows a bit of wear (it has, after all, been worn dozens of times!) it is still beautiful. I would most certainly rent it again if the occasion should arise (but in the smaller size!).

Very long, didn't wear.
This was a back-up that was sent to me when some other items became unavailable. It runs pretty long, too long for me, no matter which shoes I tried. It also fit a bit loose in the back/shoulders/chest area. The fabric was nice, but I disliked the area in the back where the "straps" come together. It's like a bulky lump with snaps. It's just a part of the design I didn't love.

Silver base, not gold.
Somehow I thought the base looked to be more gold than it was, but it is definitely a silver base. I didn't wear them because they didn't match what I needed. If you need silver though, they are beautiful.

Runs small, love the pockets!
This was technically my back-up dress for a Mad Men themed party, though I got it in 2 sizes and the one I really wanted to wear in one size based on the reviews. I ordered an 8 & a 10, and the 8 was too small (though I wore an 8 in the one I wore). It was tight around the waist and created an unflattering almost muffin top effect, and the shininess of the fabric didn't hide anything. I never tried on the 10 as I was really in love with the dress I really wanted to wear. I also wasn't crazy about not being able to wear a regular bra. One positive - it does have pockets!

Just ok.
I had problems with my original order not arriving, so a RTR stylist had to put together a last minute order and overnight it to me. One of the sizes in another dress I had ordered was not available, so he suggested this as a replacement. I had considered it when initially placing my order, so I agreed. It ran smaller than the other lace shift that I wore, and it was nice enough, but was just a little too blah. The color is more purple than I thought it would be, I expected it to look a little more maroon. It zips up the back, which is nice because it doesn't ruin your hair/make-up. I wish the lining had been nude instead of the same color as the dress. It was just ok, so I went with my other option.

So, so tight.
This dress runs S, M, L so, I ordered other dresses in number sizes and this as the back-up, though I really wanted to wear this one. First - it is really hard to get into, and you have to pull it on over your hair. The tight lining makes this difficult to do easily. Then, it fits really snug. Despite my hopes that the lace would help hide a bit of a tummy, it really accentuated it because it hugs everything tightly. I am usually an 8 - 10, and I was very disappointed in the M. The top of the dress (once you figure out how to get it on!) is pretty, though you may need a backless bra (or none at all, though you would want good cleavage in this dress) as the hole in the back could show a bra strap. Needless to say, I did not wear this dress.

Classic and Comfortable!
I loved this dress, enough that I wanted to buy it (just not for $400!). My husband loved it as well. It was classy and comfortable, and I danced the night away. It came with the original tags still on it, packed well, and got tons of compliments. Things you should know: It fits loosely through the middle, but belting it would make it VERY short (and I am 5'2"). People say you can wear a regular bra with it, but that bra should be nude or black because it shows just a tad at the shoulders where the lining has spaghetti straps and the boat neck occasionally shifts to one side. You have to pull it on over your hair!! Lifting your arms all the way up will cause you to flash people. I had a problem with my original order, which didn't show up on the day it was suppose to (which was the day after a holiday). The guy I worked with at RTR located this dress, my back-up dress and sent a third dress in another size. He had them sent overnight and they arrived before noon on a Saturday, literally one hour before I left. So, I have mixed feelings on the service!
