I'm a very curvy size 6-8 and needed the 8. I have a small waist (proportionally) and the larger size to accommodate my bust was still tight around the waist in a good way. I'm 5''2' with ample junk in the trunk and the dress was almost too short - but the stretchiness of the material saved it. I loved the one shoulder strap and appreciated that the dress was minimizing up top. Lots of compliments. I wouldn't say it was a hit, but I didn't see a lot of women my size reviewing this dress and thought some of the curvier girls would appreciate more information. If you LOVE the style I say go for it - it will work!

I read the reviews and ordered my usual - M - and an S for the free backup as previous reviews indicated this ran large. For a true hourglass shape, however, I'd say this is just the right amount of material. But with any dress I run the risk of not enough give in the hips or bust. Plenty of room in the bust with an M, barely enough for the bottom. The dress is extremely short - which was very fun for this night but something to be aware of especially for big bottomed girls like myself. There's gorgeous gathering in all the right places but a seam down the back, which meant I was pulling on it all night to make sure the seam lined up correctly. That said, when it did line up it was super sexy and gorgeous. Husband was told by many that I'm getting more beautiful as I age and that kind of compliment can't be beat. I wouldn't order this dress again and am glad I didn't purchase it, but that's what is great about renting! The red was more orange than expected (but looks pink in these photos) so beware. I felt beautiful all night!

The clutch looked expensive, there was plenty of room for all makeup, money, keys, phone, but it wasn't so heavy that I wanted to ditch it. Worked perfectly with my patent heels. The texture on the clutch made it more interesting than a typical black clutch. Considering buying it!

The adjustable fit was great as I wasn't sure how deep of a cut the dress was. The necklace was so gorgeous on its own I chose simple earrings instead of the usual large earrings I wear. Great condition and got compliments all night.
