I wore this to Beach Blanket Babylon, which is a musical revue. Its a performance that people typically dress up for. The dress was wonderful for the event - perfect amount of color and able to be worn with tights for the San Francisco chill. Loved the cut and idea of the dress. My issues with it came in the fit - it made me feel good but not great. - The dress looks like it should be a bodycon style dress that just holds everything in and tight. It isnt. There's lots of breathing room around the waist. - The length is REALLY short. I had to go with the looser one to cover my toosh and Im a very short person! - The waist/hip room was excessive, instead of being beneficial, the fabric bunched and billowed around the waist. My mini-gut was not flattered by the extra fabric and my hips couldn't fill out the sides. If I were to rent it again, I would get it for an event that I wanted to dress up and not draw lots of attention. It was perfect for a family outing.

I rented this with the Slate & Willow - Mae Sequin Shift, it went perfectly. The gold metal is very pretty and catches the perfect amount of light - not over the top. I fit my iPhone 4, a tube of lip gloss, and a few credit cards/ID with some room to spare. I would rent it again.

Like other reviews said, if you want to look like the model get the dress a few sizes larger. I wear an 8 and ordered a 14 as my "backup size" so I could select between the two looks. The dress looks AWESOME fitted and loose. It will not disappoint. I wore the 8 because I felt like showing the curves and the length was better for my height. The 14 was about 2" too long for my height and extended to the top of my knee, the size 8 that sat mid thigh and was perfect for a night of dancing, sitting, and socializing. I was concerned that the pattern would make me look wide, it did the exact opposite. There is a bit of give in the middle for a few extra pounds of belly weight. Its sparks without being over the top. It is perfect for a work holiday party. I got so many compliments from men and women! My date told me this dress caught so many peoples attention as I walked by that we could easily triple the number of complements just from the number of peoples eyes that followed the dress that night. I would LOVE to add this dress to my collection. It is a must try!
