There is a lot of fabric to start and the ribcage is very tight. I wish this would have worked. The colors are beautiful in person.

Not my ideal colors
I liked the fit on this although I found the fabric a bit poly feeling. The pleating wasn’t unflattering but the coloring is definitely for someone with warm tone skin. Was a bit too yellow for my pale (translucent haha) skin.

Amazing classic and sexy dress
This dress does not have a ton of reviews left so I'll leave one. It's so elegant with a touch of contemporary edginess. It's a great thick fabric easily paired with spanx or without. It runs true to size or slightly large, so could be pretty forgiving to someone between sizes like I am. Overall, a red carpet ready dress at a reasonable price that I would recommend to friends.

Got so many compliments and felt beautiful
I took a chance on this dress as it has never been reviewed. I am so glad I did. I wore this to my baby shower (it's a girl so I wanted to go pretty in pink) and it was a hit. Everyone told me I should buy it. It would be perfect for your baby shower! I'll back up and tell you that my back-up size was unavailable after it came back damaged. Rent the Runway was a class act, though, and got in touch with me immediately, telling me to pick 5 dresses at any price point to make up for my back-up.. I picked a few pricey Monique Llullier pieces, and there were two beautiful ones sent with my first choice dress. BUT, they do run small and as a pregnant lady, I was looking for some stretch. The fabric has a nice heft to it, and beautiful detail. Definitely worth it's retail and the rental price. I wish it was mine! This dress has the perfect amount of stretch, isn't itchy, and actually, can be worn on either side (although not mentioned), front or back. I choose the size with the deeper v because I find that more flattering to my "curvier" figure right now. There is a tag that runs along this "V" but I didn't notice it at all. It has a lot of flounce on either side, so definitely great for covering up the hip and thigh area. Best of all, I'm 5'7 and didn't find this too short, which is sometimes a problem if your belly is taking up some real estate. I actually could have worn the size down based on the amount of stretch, but felt more confident that I wouldn't ruin this dress, so I'm glad it worked out this way. Thank you for making me feel so beautiful, Rent the Runway. Can't wait to be back in a smaller size for my next event!

Beautiful but Not Perfect
I thought about the dress I would wear for my one-year wedding anniversary in Vegas for months, and this one always escaped my attention. I had a few others in mind but decided to stay within a budget, so went with this one as a backup to a Nicole Miller dress on a whim because I love off-the-shoulder styles. My typical choice is black so I decided to go with red to step out of my comfort zone. This is a true red. It is very attention grabbing (but if you're looking to rent a red dress, you probably know that already). I am a true hourglass and this dress accented every curve. Spanx are mandatory for those with any bumps (I have many). I really appreciated the more modest length. I decided to go braless as I had no time to find a bra that would work with the arm cutout situation. It wasn't a terrible choice but if I had more time, I probably would have invested more energy in finding a flattering bra. Overall, this dress made me feel pretty foxy, but since I had to wear Spanx, it was more of a "eat food and regret it" kind of dress. My husband did like it (but ended up loving another dress I already owned more, I went with this one anyway). If you have the shape, you should totally rock it though. It is very sexy and a moderately priced swap-out for all of the available red Herve's. I would size down and wear Spanx.

A review for hourglass shapes
I didn't end up wearing this dress (thankfully had a backup that I loved) but I wanted to comment on the fit of this dress for those with hourglass shapes that are on the fence like I was. There are some beautiful women wearing the dress in the reviews, but most are petite with straight shapes or you can't really see their full shape. I am a full size 12 hourglass shape. This dress has a very odd fit if you have a smaller waist and larger hips. I do believe it runs large, but there was so much room in the waist, I would have had to go down two sizes in that area but probably wouldn't fit in the arms or hips. It did very little to accent my shape and just kind of threw off my proportions, highlighting nothing. I am 5'6 and it is also rather short. One positive thing is that I did like the finish on the sequins (I hate tacky sequins). I really wanted to love this dress but it is probably best for lithier frames.

This was my first dress with Rent the Runway. I originally decided on the Black Halo jacket dress for my body type but due to the snowstorm that hit the east before New Years, lots of dresses became unavailable at the last minute. Even still, Camille of Rent the Runway was a doll with fulfilling my request for this dress and said it would flatter my curves. She was right. This was a sexy dress my boyfriend loved. Please note that it looks, essentially, nothing like it does on the model (maybe because she is 85 pounds soaking wet). It is very form fitting with far less ruching and the ruffles hit more to the side than the center. Like other reviewers said, the hem does not stretch and if you are wary it might be tight, size up, because it has slight stretch, but is less forgiving in the rib cage. Overall, a great choice.
