Absolutely loved this dress. Was both formal and causal at the same time - so I guess that's "semi-formal" - and I was able to wear flats with it. Was able to dance in it comfortably without looking disheveled by the end of the night. Would definitely rent again!!

Rented this for a work cocktail party at a country club - was different enough to not be a boring LBD. The sleeves/ shoulders and velvet put it on the "right" side of conservative for me, although it wasn't edgy enough for me to rent again. The sleeves fit a bit big for a 2, but the chest and bottom fit true to size for a 2. Not much give in it but was still comfortable.

I wore this to a formal dinner in DC in December, the weather was chilly and this dress was thick enough it kept me warm outside while we walked. Walking at a "city pace" was difficult because of how fitted the dress was but I didn't mind. This dress is so amazing I tried to find it to purchase but it's sold out in my size everywhere I looked! Will be renting this dress again.

I ordered the 2R and the 0R based on the reviews. I'm 5'5", 128 lbs, really petite up top -- the 0R fit best but the dress I received had clearly been worn a bunch and repaired (poorly) so I couldn't wear it. The 2R fit, but was looser. I did not need a bra, but not because the dress offered any support -- it didn't matter because you couldn't tell. The length was good. I wore 4 inch heels and the dress was just above the floor -- any longer and I would have tripped on it while walking. As it was I had to hold it up to dance! Overall I am SO thrilled I chose this dress. It was perfect for the black tie wedding I attended be received so many compliments!!

The necklace was exactly what I was looking for -- a black/gold statement piece that had an edgy feel. It laid at just the right length and the colors of the stones were perfect with my gray lace dress and black shoes. This was my first accessory rental, and I have to say I was a little disappointed. Clearly the necklace has been worn many times, which I understand, but it had been broken and repaired. The repair seemed a bit sloppy, resulting in the necklace hanging crooked. The jump ring used to repair the necklace got caught in the lace of my dress quite a few times. I will definitely give RTR another chance, but if I had rented a dress with comparable issues I wouldn't be happy.
