Rented this for date night in Miami. Felt super sexy in it all night, and my guy couldn't take his eyes off me (which was the whole point). Herve Legere dresses are great at showing off curves, and compressing any bumps or jiggles you might be trying to smooth out. I wore commando undies underneath (my usual VS Lacies showed) and no bra. The top had potential for support, but it seemed stretched out (elastic didn't have much/any rebound). That was my only (tiny) complaint. Otherwise it was the perfect dress for my evening.

Rented this for a night out in Miami at a friend's bachelorette party. I opted for the 4 and the 6 because I have a long torso (for my height) and worried that the 2 or 4 might be too camel-toe-tastic. I went with the 4 (which jusssst fit in the torso) over the 6 (too baggy). If not for torso length, I probably would have gone for the 2. It was a gorgeous look and really fun to wear. The only issue (unavoidable with rompers/jumpsuits) was that it was a slight hassle to strip to use the bathroom, but otherwise it was flattering and comfortable (you can even wear a real bra)!

Fabulous dress (ignore photos to the extent they make it look gold rather than silver). Got compliments all night. Agree with other commenters that the sequins are scratchy -- I had some red marks around my arms the next morning. I usually wear a between a 2 and a 4 in David Meister, I ordered this as a backup so only got a 2 based on the fit recommendations. I could likely have worn the 4 as well (on the model, the dress has a more drapey look), so I would ignore the "fit expert" and size up for your backup size, unless you're going for a tighter, sleeker fit. Also, as noted, the dress runs short. The 2L was not available, so I went the with 2R. I'm 5'4" and wore 3" heels. The dress just covered the tops of my heels, and was not floor length. I would have preferred floor length, but it looked OK.

This is a fabulous dress that made me feel fabulous all night. I wore it to our black-tie holiday party for work, and I got a million compliments. I felt like a movie star all night. I ordered British sizes 6R and 8R, US equivalent 2R and 4R. I went with the 4R for two reasons (1) the 2R was a skosh too short with my heels, and (2) I thought the 2R hugged my hips a little too closely. A few other notes: (1) The material is a super soft, stretchy silk jersey, so it is very comfortable, but it also shows every detail. I wore footless spanx underneath, and you could even see the seam that runs up the front! I added a seamless half slip on the bottom, which smoothed everything out. However, if you're trying to hide anything, this isn't the dress for you (except maybe your calves and ankles). (2) Invest in a NuBra, the material is too thin to go braless unless you have absolutely nothing on top. (3) This dress clings and definitely emphasizes your curves. The shape on bottom is more mermaid than A-line (i.e., it is fitted below the hips a little bit, though not quite to the knee).

I wore this to a work event that went day-night, and this was perfect. For day, I also wore a blazer. This is a true sheath - very fitted through the hips. I have an hourglass figure, but I'm a little heavier on bottom than on top -- with spanx, a 6 was still maybe a little tight (for work), but any bigger and the bust would have been too big. All-in-all a very sexy-classy dress.

I rented this after loving a different Tibi dress that I rented that is a similar shape (shift). This one wasn't quite as good -- too baggy through the waist for me, maybe as a result of the deep slit in the back? I couldn't have sized down, however, as the S was perfect through the shoulders and hips. This might be better on someone with a more straight figure, or narrow hips. Also, I wore this with a bra that had a cute lace back, and let it show through the slit. If you don't want your bra to show, you'll need one of the adhesive ones or go without!

This is the second HL dress I've rented and had the same problem with both -- the M is not tight enough through the waist (baggy), and the S is so tight it rides up. Maybe this problem is common to all HL? I wore it with a bra to give me some separation, but it wasn't necessary for support. Did not wear spanx because the dress was too short for the mid-thigh shaper I have. It might have made the silhouette slightly smoother, but I didn't feel self-conscious without it. In all, the dress was SUPER hot and very flattering -- lifts, enhances, and shows off curves while smoothing and sucking in everything else. Perfect for a night in Vegas, but given my sizing problems, I will try a different HL style (longer? less fitted in the hips?) if I rent one of his again.

I actually liked this dress so much, I ended up buying it when I found it on sale on Amazon.com! The dip in the back is really sexy, but still allows you to wear a normal bra (hallelujah!!). It also works well for a range of events, from a shower to a date to a night on the town, though it is probably too casual for cocktail or semi-formal. The dress was very figure-flattering on my slim/hourglass frame, and would work well on a range of body types, though it might end up a little tent-like on someone with a full chest. I usually wear a 0-4, depending on how fitted a dress is through the hips. This is quite fitted through the hips, but runs a little big, so I wore my usual size 2, those with narrower hips may want to size down. Also, it was a bit long on me, just a few inches above my knees, and definitely not mid-thigh as on the model. I am planning to have the dress I own hemmed.

Got this as a backup dress for a Vegas trip. I ended up wearing it on our more "casual" evening. It is very cute but also with a VERY deep and open V-neck. I'm between a 34B and C and wore this with a push-up bra, which I probably didn't need, but was the only bra I had low enough in the front not to show. And I still ended up pinning the top together. Also, the wrap doesn't wrap around very much, so you have to be quite careful when you sit. It was great for Vegas, but don't let the ruffles fool you into thinking it's a "sweet" dress!

Rented this for a friend's birthday party. I thought it was really cute, and I got plenty of compliments -- classic shift / trapeze shape. I have an hourglass figure with slightly wider hips. I was a little surprised to be an XS, but the XS just skimmed over my bust and hips, which looked best on me. You may want to go with your normal size if going for a true trapeze shape. It was also mid-thigh on me, so could be very short on taller girls. Note that it's nearly impossible to wear with a bra -- I have one in a pink color similar to the top part of the dress and chose to be OK with letting it show a little.

Rented this for the big night out of a Vegas vacation, and it was perfect. It was very short, but not uncomfortable to sit in. However, because of the way it is constructed (sleeves), I did avoid raising my arms over my head, but I wanted a mini, and a mini is what I got. I'm usually a 2-4 bust / waist and a 4-6 hip, and the 4 skimmed over my hips perfectly. I would definitely rent this one again, I LOVED it!
