I wore this as a great piece that transitions from beach to winery. It's light & airy but dark enough to not see your bathing suit under. I was beach ready but appropriate for stops along the way. I didn't even realize it came with a slip - I did not wear it.

This was a fun option! It runs a little big, I could have sized down, & it 'feels' short but really isn't. It's the way the drop waist hits but throw on some full coverage undies just in case. Great details & cut outs - I wore a nude regular bra & it worked great!

I.love.this.brand. You can do activities in this brand! You will make a statement in this brand! It is hands down the best. Learn your fit, and you'll be set for every rental. I'm a regular renter and I'd say RTR works 50% of the time and is a hot mess the other 50% of the time. This was the latter, and my size in this dress became unavailable last minute - while we sorted through the drama of finding a new dress, they said my back up was still available (Size 6 or 42 in Italian sizing), I went with it anyway because I knew this brand even being a tad big, was going to be better than anything else. It ended up being a tad big, expected, but was still flawless. For reference - I am typically between a size 6-8 and in Petite Chiara Boni I am always a Size 40 (Size 4)

I don't even know where to start - favorite favorite favorite rental so far. The details: Italian sizes basically are the size you would be if pasta wasn't invented. I am a pretty standard size 6/8 - 34DD bust, 28 waist, 41 around the rear and I wore the Italian size 40R which is equivalent to US Size 2. I highly reccomend stopping in store to try on the dress or if they don't have it try on a dress by this designer. The size 2 fit like it was made for me. If you are curvy, this is a great dress because it will accent your curves while also complimenting your waist. Too often dresses drape over the chest and make me look bigger than I am. No need for under garments - I skipped a bra or spanx. I also rented all of the jewels and it turned out absolutely perfect. Now for the sob story: this rental wasn't easy - and I see this about 50% of the time with my rentals. I do continue to come back because there is great value when it works out (and luckily it ended up working out) I got an e-mail two days prior to the gala that my back up size was ruined and I was no longer going to receive it. It was a fire drill and frankly I wasn't happy. RTR has a great staff who worked through it with me. The fact of the matter was I luckily fit into the 40R which is great but my review would probably be very different had it not worked out. RTR is a great service when it works out, but always have a back up plan if it doesn't.

This was a back up because the original Herve I ordered was stuck in a snow storm (FYI, it came 4 days later, tried it on, LOVED IT, re-ordered for my next event) I digress. I was super fussy about the entire situation but alas this dress saved the night. It was stunning and I received a ton of compliments the entire night. Herve is just built that way - it has an effortless look but the fabric is so thick and forgiving, it's doing all the lifting and sucking in for you. It's perfect. It's sexy in all the right places but long enough to stay conservative.

This was my back up dress and I'm lucky my original dress fit so great! I got this in a size 6 and a size 4 and both were way too tight in all the wrong places. I would suggest this for someone who does not have a chest or butt. It was baggy around my stomach but way too tight on my hips and chest. The cut outs are ok but tend to look like there is something wrong with the dress instead of something cute to add to the dress.

I waited for the last minute to rent a dress so the pickings and sizes were slim. My true size (6) was not available so I took a chance on an 8 - good thing I did! It fit perfect (almost snug) but it worked for New Years Eve. The neck line is subtly unique, sexy but conservative. With a large chest I was worried about "popping out" but it only showed a small amount of cleavage. The dress is SHORT so I would not suggest this for a wedding or family party. The size 8 dress also had an issue with the slip coming out below the hem of the dress, I found myself pulling the dress down often to fix it, I wish I would have used the fashion tape! The length of the dress makes it much more limited for formal affairs - but fun parties gives a classic dress some sex appeal. I received so many compliments the night of AND continue to receive compliments while the pictures have been showing up on facebook. A great rental - but expensive ($200) - if you have a coupon, use it on this dress!

Well - this dress might have been the saving grace for my RTR experience. I had originally ordered a different metallic dress but was told less than 24 hours before it was supposed to arrive that it would not be available. I scrambled to look through the website to find a replacement - gave the representative two options (one of which was listed as available and guess what? wasn't) and although, bless her heart for working so quickly and efficiently with me (a very fussy customer at this point) she sent two dresses, this one included, in larger sizes than I would have chosen (I wear a size 6 due to a larger bust and hips, but she sent a Medium in this dress and an 8 in another). I was able to work with the Medium since it is very shift-dress-esque but it was baggy in the back and definitely could have been a size smaller. I got a lot of compliments and people were very memorized by the sequins shifting (literally at one point had a guy trying to etch-a-sketch his initials into the sequins). It was nice being able to wear a fun dress, bag it up and send it back! I'll definitely try out RTR again! Pictures to come - the site was having issues with letting me upload.
