what even is this
Is it possible mine was damaged or is this just how this fits?! I can't include a picture without violating the rules... it was hanging past my butt crack, simultaneously there was nip showing? I spent like half an hour adjusting the straps trying to get it right but I think it's just like that.

Cute, wish I had sized down.
I'm normally a small but an XS would have been better. The small was a little longer than I wanted (like, to my knees) and the top had some give. I think it would've been cuter if it were snug, but overall I really liked wearing it.

This was a flop for me. I'm pear shaped, normally size small, and the medium was tight in the hips and the top was comically loose. I couldn't wear it.

Liked it. A little boxy
I find a lot of madewell clothing to be a bit boxy. It felt kind of big/bulky for me, but I think if I had sized down that I wouldn't have been able to pull the fitted waist part over my shoulders. It was nice to wear beachside. I think it just wasn't right for my body.

Love this dress
I rented this in another color previously and came back for this one! It's very flattering and comfortable. My complaint is that I feel like the fabric held smell and didn't feel totally clean when it arrived. I would have worn it more but it just felt like it needed a wash.

Wanted to keep! Cool and comfy
I wore these to the beach on a boat ride and on the deck in warm weather, and stayed very comfortable. They didn't wrinkle at the crotch the way most linen pants do, which was so appreciated. I am 5'3 and the medium fit, but a small would have been comfortable too and maybe better length wise.

Flattering & fun despite extra tight fit
This dress is so flattering! It's gorgeously structured and the cut was actually quite elongating, which is rare for me (I'm pear shaped and 5'3"). It runs small but the straps were falling off of my shoulders constantly so I don't think I could've sized up. Overall it is a great rent-instead-of-buy piece!!!
