Simple, classic, flattering, form fitting and sexy dress. Definitely runs small - was tighter on me through hips and waist, more room in the bust. Might fit better on someone who has narrower hips since it is snug through the hips, but I'm sure you can size up for curves. Creates an hourglass figure and I think the snug fit makes you look smaller than you are. I usually wear a 0 or 2, but since everyone said it runs small, I ordered the 2L and 4L as a back up. The 4L was at least an inch longer in length, and was longer through the torso and looser in the bust, but only slightly roomier elsewhere. I was torn between the two sizes but ended up wearing the 2L since it fit on top better - other than that and the length, there wasn't a big difference in the fit between the two sizes. It was slightly tighter than I would have ideally liked, but it looked great anyways. The fabric is thick and doesn't show undergarments, and you can easily wear a strapless bra. I wore the 2L with 3" heels and it just swept the floor without shoes showing. If I had worn the 4L I would have needed to wear 4" heels at least for it to not be way too long. If you are 5'5" or over and want to wear any sort of heel, definitely get the long length - the regular would have been too short for heels.
