I ended up not wearing this dress because it was too big. I'm consistently a size 10, and even checked the size guide on the designer website which also had me as a 10, so I ordered the Large. Some reviews mentioned it being tight in the bust, and I'm a DD cup, so I got the XL as my backup size. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts and gotten the Medium as my backup - I've never worn an XL in anything, and I'm pear shaped and empire waists are more forgiving. But I trusted the reviews and sadly it didn't work out. Even the Large was a bit too big and I ended up wearing something else to the event. I suspect that most of the women who said to size up haven't taken their measurements in a while and just don't know their true dress and/or bra size. The dress is beautiful though, and I'm hoping to rent it again for another wedding in a few months - just in a smaller size!

I wore this dress for a summer wedding and it was a great choice for a hot, humid day. I love the color too. I'm normally a size 12, but I had lost some weight right before this and was probably a 10 at the time. However, based on reviews and the fact that I'm pear-shaped, I decided to try the 14 anyway since the 12 wasn't available. It fit perfectly on the bottom, but the top half was a little big, though I made it work with fashion tape. If I'd been able to get the 12, I think it would've been too snug on the bottom. I wish the dress were a little shorter (I'm not short, but it covered my knees). I saw quite a few reviewers mention they didn't have to wear a bra with it, but I think that is probably only the case if you're smaller-chested - I tried it on without a bra and that was NOT going to work, so I wore a Nubra. Overall, pretty dress and great for hot weather, but not a good fit for my size/shape.
