I had a 60s style Mad Men birthday party and wore this dress. I did size down and I can see how on thinner or shorter women they would swim in this dress. But it hid my larger middle section well and fit great everywhere else. I wore 2" heels, as any higher, of course the dress gets shorter. The color pops and I got many compliments on my look!

Beautifully made dress, I got a lot of compliments. Love the lace sleeves to hide my upper arms. The waistband is tight but the full skirt hides any tummy issues. I wore a light spanx but it's not necessary. Did I mention pockets! Always a hit. The zipper sticks a little so I had to have someone zip the back. Would definitely recommend this dress. Navy is a great substitute for black. I wore 3" heels and the length was perfect. I could have worn flats too.

This gown fit great! I wore 4 inch heels and the gown skimmed the floor in the back while showing my shoes in front. It is low cut so difficult to wear a bra. I wore a Nu Bra to provide coverage but I could have used the tape if I had some. If you are small chested you need good posture to prevent showing too much. The gown's tailoring provides great tummy coverage and I added a Spanx for control. Overall I loved the cut, color and fit of this dress!

Like others before have described, this dress runs small on top and the side zipper is definitely hard to close. I had to have assistance zipping it up. If you are a larger cup size please order up. I am small chested and the dress was snug without a bra. The fabric is a beautiful color and flows so gracefully. Definitely easy to dance in. I wore 4 inch heels and the length was perfect. The slit was a lovely addition and while high enough to be sexy, the fullness of the fabric hides the slit while standing still. Overall, this is a gorgeous dress and I received lots of compliments! I wore it with large earrings but also would look great with a statement necklace. Be aware however that my second choice size became unavailable the day before my dress arrived. RTR offered me a complimentary dress of a different style that was shipped overnight but it did not arrive prior to my event. UPS said it was due to high Mother's Day volume. So make sure you have a back up dress ready! Overall, RTR customer service was great. The dress arrived in pristine condition, includes a little gift bag and the return is super easy!

I had some issues with my first and second choice dresses. First, RTR informed me the back-up size for my first dress was suddenly not available the day before delivery. Then UPS did not leave the dress despite the "no signature required" policy. So RTR very generously offered me a free second choice shipped overnight. Unfortunately, due to the high volume for Mother's Day, this second choice dress did not arrive until Monday after my event. Since my first choice did end up fitting, I did not need to wear this lovely dress. Although this dress is gorgeous and true to size, I did not fit into the top despite wearing a padded strapless bra. I think you can see it gapping in the photo. It is a hook closure on the neck, so you can't tighten It further. The dress fit well otherwise and with 3 inch heels it almost skimmed the floor. The rich fabric hugs your body without feeling tight. Despite the delivery issues, I was pleased with my RTR experience. They tried their best to accommodate me, and frankly my issues were with UPS. The quick response of customer service, the packaging, extra small gifts, and the ease of returns made it worth it. Will definitely use again!
