Ran small and did not wear. Back up size was also small, so I would have needed to go two sizes up to fit into this one. The quality of the dress was lovely. The cut--with the crinoline underneath--made it not so flattering for my shape. Two zippers in the back; it was the top one I was surprised to see for some reason. I guess I just didn't think about it. So pretty, just not for me--even if I'd had the right size.

Wore the 10 to fit my bottom half, needed 8 for top half. Also, the 8 would have been too short for heels; the 10 almost was too short. Great quality on this dress. Recalled another review about the cross-back buckling a little, and I'd agree with that, though it didn't bother me. I loved the plunging neckline, although not my usual choice. Bra not possible with this one, and I couldn't find the Hollywood "lifting stickers" to help me out (ha!), but I did wear petals. Overall, if you're 5'6" and like tall heels, get the long. I don't consider myself pear-shaped, but if you are pear shaped, probably need to order up in size. Spanx helped, as this is a column skirt.

This dress is so comfortable! The sleeves+length were perfect for our Southern town's outdoor, late-spring event. Beautifully made, the lining is nice & heavy. Only complaint would be that the lining in the sleeves can slip down below the lace, but the pockets more than make up for that. I had my phone & lipgloss in one pocket with ID in the other. I'm uncomfortable with my upper arms right now, so the style was nice. Deep purple is a little dark for spring/summer, but here I am in the spring & it was a great pick. I ordered the 10 & the 8, but the 10 was a perfect fit. Consider going up for your extra size.

I needed a 9. HA! The 8 was skin tight, too short, and a little worn; the 10 was comfey w/o Spanx and a little too long. Husband and I decided they looked like completely different dresses. I decided to wear the 10, and had to watch the train, as it got stepped on in crowded spots. Holding part of the dress up did not help me walk, though, so remember just let it flow. Beautiful dress, and I received compliments. At the pre-party a friend (on the left) and I discovered we were both wearing RTR. Then met a 3rd guest (on the right) who was also in RTR. We looked fabulous! ;) My first RTR experience & I'll be back! Now I just need a reason!
