I love this dress! Elegant, unique color and sequins made it stand out. (the netting underneath the sequins section was stretched out and hung lower than the outer portion and had to be pinned up, if I had chosen to wear this dress) Also, the small bow at the top of the dress adds a feminine touch but it needs pressed to avoid detracting from the elegance of the dress. It is more beautiful in person. It was form fitting. However, I did not wear it to my formal occasion because I had 3 other dresses to choose from. Since the back up size was not available, RTR sent me 2 other replacement options. This dress does run small since there is a lace top. The underarms and bust area is tight with no give. The dress fit snugly (4R). I could have fit in the 6R but that was the back up size. I chose to wear a different RTR dress but may order this in the future.

I did not wear this dress but it was one of my options that Rent The Runway sent as a replacement. There was a problem with the back up size of another dress I ordered, they sent me two replacement dresses for no charge for the inconvenience. It was great having several options to choose from and this one was so comfortable and elegant that it made my choice difficult. If you are not busty, you could even size down since this dress has some give to it. I usually wear a size 4R and the 6R fit but it was loose at the top and waist. The slit and ruffle at the bottom added just the right flare! I would consider ordering this dress again for the right formal occasion. Thanks for the choices RTR!

Fun and flirty dress! It does run small since there is no give and form fitted at the bust and waist area. I wore a size 42 R, (it was snug at the waist on me) which in European sizes is about 6R. It was difficult to zip due to the the outer netting of the dress getting caught. However, this dress stands out in the crowd because of the color and detail of the fabric. It was fun and flirty with the high/low and see through lower section of the dress. I wore silver shoes to dress it up for a more formal occasion and had lots of compliments. I loved wearing this dress!

Form fitting dress so would be best to size up. No bra needed if you are small chested but a black bra for larger chested woman would look fine. The under arm/arms are tight so best to size up. Applique pattern covers the whole dress is more beautiful in person. The zipper gets caught on the applique, care needs to be taken when zipping. Overall, the dress is comfortable and stunning! Great for a formal occasion or simple party night.

Great color, great fit, great style, great price! I couldn't have asked for more with this dress. My girlfriend told me, "It was the Best dress at the wedding!" I wore the Kate Spade, Clink Clink Statement Necklace that was shown in the model photo and it truly added to the whole look. I would recommend choosing that piece if it is in your budget! You do not need anything more because the dress, which fit modestly and comfortably, with the necklace completes the look. I already owned a gold purse and gold shoes that blended well! A few things to note about this dress is that the zipper is a little tricky to zip up because the waist fabric is cinched and can get caught. You have to be careful and have someone help you zip, to avoid damaging the dress. Also, the dress fabric is crinkled. That is how it is designed. However, I did have my dry cleaner steam press the dress and it laid more flat. (only $12) You can press it yourself, too. The underlay of the dress is tulle and can get bunched up if not pressed. You may need to size up if you are busty! I am not, so the size 4 fit perfect. None of the above discouraged me from feeling disappointed with this rental. I loved the whole look!

Rented this dress for a Las Vegas formal event! I choose this short dress because of the fun, full skirt and beautiful navy embroidery as the overlay of the skirt. The bodice is charcoal and I loved the contrast. This dress has some details that make it the perfect dress for a more fancy event. The zipper at the back of the dress shows and is gold. It also runs the length of the dress making it easy to get in and out of. However the bottom of the zipper near the hem, hits your leg while walking and can be irritating. . I ordered both the 4 and 6. I wore the 4 because the 6 skirt proofed out more. Sizing down made the skirt feel less full. There is 3 layers of netting under the lining of the skirt. The neckline is flattering and the ties were comfortable at the back of the neck. The ties did add support to the bodice and you didn't have to worry about the dress slipping down. The bodice is snug so sizing up would help if you don't like feeling squeezed at the waist. I did love the look and length of this dress. It was easy to move in. I got many compliments and one photographer asked me to stop for a photo because he loved the dress. I wore the blue Safire drop earrings from Rent The Runway and they complimented the dress well. I would wear this dress again and would rate it a 4.5 if that was a choice!

If you are looking for a dress that is modest, classy and elegant, this would be the one. The lace overlay is more cream than a true white with black delicately intertwined throughout this dress. Black shoes and purse are the perfect compliment! The lining is well made but there is not much give in this fabric but it still is comfortable. It runs true to size and maybe a bit on the smaller size since it is so form fitting. The back of the dress from the waist up has no lining so you can't wear a bra. I wore sticky pasty bra pads that have no back and they worked fine, however I'm not very busty and the bigger you are the more support you may need. I wore this dress to a cocktail party and stood out because of the color and lace combination. This dress makes a statement in an elegant way!

This was my first choice for a formal fundraiser and first experience with RTR. (this was an experience that happened last Spring but I am just getting around to reviewing for this experience....I did review the dress that I actually wore last May) Unfortunately, i was informed 2 days before delivery that the dress was damaged from a previous rental and they would not be able to rent it to me. They called and left a message on my home phone but I did not listen to the messages till the day of my rental delivery. When I opened the box and found the dress missing, with another dress for a replacement, I was surprised! After listening to my phone messages, I discovered that they did say they wanted me to call but since i never received the message till it was too late, they made a replacement choice in a similar color. The replacement dress was nice, it fit but I was disappointed that it did not have the "punch" I was looking for. Fortunately, I had ordered a second back up dress that I liked better than the replacement and ended up wearing that one. It fit perfect and was the look that I wanted for this occasion. My first experience ended up working out well because of my backup dress order. (It is good that they offer this option at a discounted price) I think RTR tried to full fill my order by calling, but I do feel that they should make more of an effort to talk in person instead of leaving a message. I have used RTR 4 times now and still like the service. You do have to be really smart about picking a size for yourself (reading all the reviews and chatting with a stylist...however it can take a long time while waiting for phone support!). Ordering a backup size and dress is always a good option with your order.

Perfect dress for my formal Holiday event! The dress does run a little larger. Also, there is not much give in the fabric so I would recommend ordering one smaller size and your normal size. It is very comfortable and easy to move around in. The sleeves do have zippers at the wrists which add a nice detail. Some people complained that it was bothersome but I did't have any problem with the zippers pinching my skin. The length was perfect for my height. It hit about 4 inches above my knees. It is the color that makes this dress stand out. I opted to add a simple necklace and more decorative earrings. This dress was what I wanted for this formal occasion. It was simple, festive and elegant! My only complaint is that the dress came wrinkled with some white powdery spots on it. Luckily, I was able to press the dress and brush off the powdery residue. I am not sure if RTR dry cleans after each rental but I do feel this dress was not in perfect condition for my rental. (I ordered two dresses, the size 2 was very clean and pressed but the 4 was wrinkled at the elbows and had some spots. I wore the 4) Overall, the dress was perfect for my occasion. It simple, festive and elegant! I have rented 4 times and this was my first issue so kudos to RTR for being so reliable!

I am hooked on RTR! This is my third rental. The whole process is fun. You get to window shop right in your own home. With the first rental, I was a little nervous thiinking if the dresses didn't fit than what would I do? However, most of us have one or two basic dresses in our closet that we could resort to if it turned out to be a disastor. No such thing has happened after three rentals due to the fact that there are so many great reviews that describe how the dress fits and offer little tips that provide you with enough information to help you make the right choice for your body. Most women like to wear different outfits to their events. How many of us wear the same formal dress more than 2 or 3 times? Sometimes the dresses that we do have in our closet are not appropriate for the occassion. This is my favorite thing about RTR. You can rent an affordable, well made dress that will suit the occassion because of their variety. The Whole In One Dress was just that, "a whole in one" for my wedding occasion. I ordered the 2 and 4 but ended up wearing the 4. The dress is made just a touch big. I wore a wide black belt that clasped in the front (did not come with the dress) and black pumps. It was a comfortable fit and the perfect length. The dress is full from the waist down and the adding belt helped to separate tht fullness. If you have a small waist than a petticoat may help to add fullness but I liked the fullness without the extra poof! It was a cooler night and I added a long black sweater while we were outside. Most people wear black to weddings. This Kate Spade dress was "not just another black dress" but the black and white stripe and full skirt added some fun to my attire. Had so much fun wearing this Whole in One Dress! Thanks RTR for another flawless rental!

This was a replacement dress for another dress that I had rented. The dress became unavailable a few days before my rental and RTR sent another option. They did a great job of trying to replace my original order but I choose my 2nd choice dress instead. (The second choice is also reviewed and worked out really well for my formal occasion.) This dress really fit well. It is form fitting with a sexy slit up the side. The color is more orange/yellow. (not the color I wanted for the formal affair)The one shoulder top was very comfortable and fit snugly. I may rent this for a future event but thanks RTR for trying to buffer my disappointment for not receiving my first choice dress. They also refunded the difference between the orders with no problem.

Rented this dress for an outdoor summer mountain wedding. I was looking for a high/low cut dress and this was perfect for the occasion. The dress was silky, lightweight and flowed easily when walking and dancing. The dress is low cut at the bust, so I did secure it with a pin to prevent it from flapping open. If you are a more busty person you would have to wear a strapless support bra. For those of us less endowed, the bust design works well with no bra or slip in bra pads. The shoulder straps do adjust. I was very comfortable in the dress all night. As many of the other reviews state, it is cut high in the front and only can be noticed when walking or dancing. The solution to this is to use a small safety pin and tack the two front pleats together. It does not hinder the look of the dress by doing this. There is a sash/belt that you can adjust around your waist. It is long so you can tie the sash as you please and adjust to hang on the side or in front which helps hide the very shortest part of the dress. What I loved most about the dress is the floral pattern. Most people wear black at weddings so I felt this dress stood out in the crowd. It was feminine and pretty. Beige pumps are the perfect shoes because they did not overpower the dress. I have enjoyed renting from RTR. Both of my past rentals have worked out flawlessly. Thanks RTR!

I wore this dress for a "gala" event in Las Vegas. It was to be my back-up dress which I had ordered at the same time as my first choice dress. However, my first choice became unavailable the day before I was to receive it. RTR attempted to contact me before they shipped out my order. Since I did not get back to them in time, they sent a replacement dress that they felt would replace my first choice. The replacement dress was a nice color and choice but did not come close to my expectations of my first choice dress. After trying on my back up dress, my family agreed it was the dress to wear. It fit perfect and was true to size. There was some cinching at the waist area around the hips but that is part of the look of the dress. The dress is shorter in the front with a slight train in the back that touches the floor and some people did step on it. I would advise to wear higher shoes. My shoes were 3 inches and I am 5'5. I loved the dress and it was the perfect color for the occasion. I received many compliments. Thanks RTR for your great service. They did give me a refund for the difference in cost between my first choice and back up dress.
