I ordered this as a back-up dress and when I tried it on I saw that the slit across the front showed the top of my bra. Maybe I need to change bra styles? Otherwise it fit nicely - I ordered the size 6 since it would have been for a dinner event and I wanted a bit of extra room through the middle. It was also a modest length on me since I am 5'2" and in my mid-50s. I found the colors to be a bit dark in person as compared to the photo on the website.

The colors of this dress were perfect for fall, and the dress was appropriately modest for a charity event. It is VERY body conscious and although it is thick, stretchy scuba suit-like material, you don't want to have any lumps or bumps because they will show in this dress. It also tends to creep/bunch up a bit at the hips when you sit down, so you have to make sure you're smoothing it down when you stand up.

This was a very pretty dress that I rented for a benefit jazz concert. There are little snaps to hold your bra straps in place and side seam pockets that are fun. I found the bodice of the dress to be a bit short on me, which is why I went up to a size 6 because the bodice of the size 4 was too short and the "waistline" was too high and uncomfortable when I zipped up the dress. The skirt is sort of a "bubble" cut and it did ride up a little when I sat down. Otherwise, the length was good for me, but I am a short person.

Originally I did not order this Erin Fetherston dress, but the Tibi dress I ordered (as a back-up) for a weekend event didn't get back to RTR on time, so stylist Talia emailed me to ask what I would like for another back-up dress. I am glad I went with this beautiful blue dress! It was light and flowing and easy to pop off and on with just a button closure on a keyhole opening in the back. The elasticized waist was comfy and would be very forgiving for days when you might feel a little "fluffier" than normal. It was a nice modest length on me, particularly since I decided to wear it to church. There is a white underskirt under the sheer layer, but I did put on a nude slip because I was going to church and didn't know how it would look in the bright sunlight. I highly recommend this dress, and I will rent it again as a FIRST choice for a future event!

I ordered this dress as my back-up and did not wear it. For some reason, I ordered it in a size 2, and I wear a size 4; the 2 was too small (a couple of snaps didn't quiiiiite reach!) and I believe a 4 would have been perfect. The colors were lovely as was the fabric - the dress felt very expensive. However, it is a well-loved style and the front ruffle on my dress was droopy and oddly folded over. If I had worn this dress I would have tried to gently steam iron the ruffle to try to freshen it up a bit.

This beautiful Palace Sheath dress caught my eye on the RTR website when it was first introduced. I loved the rich royal blue and the sheath over the top really made it special. I received many compliments when I wore this for our annual employee banquet; my coworkers said it was really pretty as I crossed the stage. The royal blue sheath underneath has some stretch to it. The thin straps are adjustable, but they are placed a bit awkwardly and my bra straps ended up crossing over them. If they were more in line with my bra it would have looked bit nicer. The black sheath is a separate piece worn over the top. It is sort of a tulle type material which has no stretch and is a bit stiff. My arms are not exactly thin and willowy so the sleeves were a snug fit. Luckily I didn't have to move my arms around or up/down very much during the event! Btw, my coworker is wearing Shoshanna's "Love Affair" dress from RTR!

I rented this clutch purse for a wedding, but I was unable to use it. The chain strap inside was kinked and knotted and I could not remedy the situation. Also, the color of the clutch was much grayer than i expected and I noticed that it smelled of perfume. The clasp popped open by itself when it was just hanging by its strap. RTR customer service is excellent; they will credit me for the rental fee - I just sent an email with a picture of the purse with its kinked strap to their "help" email address. I definitely plan to rent again from RTR; just not a purse!

This was my first RTR experience, and I enjoyed getting dressed up for a lovely afternoon garden wedding! This Thakoon dress is definitely a figure-hugging fit through the bodice; the fabric has no stretch at all. It is fully lined in a very light aqua fabric with an underslip that did tend to show periodically. The dress fabric itself is rather stiff and seems to have a life of its own - I found myself smoothing it down throughout the afternoon because when it caught the breeze the skirt would stay up by itself. I feel the skirt is probably a bit too full for my frame, and the waistline hit me a little high on my torso. Still, I enjoyed wearing this dress and received many compliments.
