My wish for the industry... but not
Technical Specs: This coat is definitely oversized, which is the aesthetic. Unfortunately for my 5'3 self, the sleeves reached to the tips of my fingers and the bottom hits mid-knee. It looked TOO oversized for my shortness. It's definitely heavy and will keep one warm in an SF winter, not so sure about a NYC winter. Experience: This coat could be everything I want from a coat, but it misses its mark. While the industry keeps looking for the next new aesthetic, I feel like this jacket is more the next big thing, or it could have been, versatility that doesn't scream REI. I loved the idea that you could remove the sleeves via snaps to only discover they were sewn on, so you actually couldn't. The jacket almost looks reversible, which would have been another great feature, alas it was also not this. Another feature it COULD have had, a zipper at the waist to give a jacket option, but it didn't. What it DOES have is a removable hood, although mine had the tracking tag sewn on the outside, so I could not actually use it. The sleeves do give three width options, which I'm also into, and the snaps do work so you could do an exposed shoulder look if you're so inclined. YES to all the pockets! My favorite feature the coat actually had were long detachable straps on the inside, giving me the ability to carry the jacket on my shoulders. Not sure if that was the intention, but it was amazing to be able to lug it once it got too warm and still have my hands free. Does this also turn into a tote, because that's another versatility option I'd love to see. All in all, though, it's definitely an interesting piece for the taller and daring.

Your Own Personal Sauna with Compliments
The technical specs: For a shorty like me it's a smidge long, longest part hits below the knee, but it's still passable. Rolled the sleeves up and wore with heels so it didn't overpower me. In all honesty, I'm shocked it works with my short torso, as most non-petite wraps usually don't. Rented a large (usually a 10/12/14) and it's a little roomy. Not sure how much smaller the medium is, but I'd consider sizing down. The experience: So I rented this dress with the intentions of wearing it to work and maybe to Vegas. Glad I wore it to work first because I'm pretty sure I would die of heat exhaustion in Vegas. As someone who generally runs cold, I love that I could step out on a crisp 60-degree morning, sans jacket, and be fine. Unfortunately for me, my office was a balmy 70-something and has me feeling Ross Geller's pain. I'm red as a tomato and the placket inside, with its same faux-leather material, has been sticking to me all day. I highly recommend a light layer underneath or a maybe a full bodysuit if you want to peacock at NYFW Fall shows sans coat. That said, I will not be wearing this in 100-degree Vegas. Pivot! Many of my office mates LOVED the dress, including one of the partners of my firm who gave it a very rare, but regarded thumbs up. I, myself, give this dress four stars, with a one-star deduction due to the sticky placket. Still absolutely love it and I plan to re-rent when the weather gets chillier.

Nothing but compliments
Tech Specs: It's got a bit of a straight baggy fit but comes with a belt so you can cinch to show off your figure if you so choose. I rented the 10, worried it would be too small since I'm usually more 12/14, with some shocking room to spare. The length is good for my short stature, but the waist is a smidge off for my short torso. Not enough to prevent me from wearing, though. I've mostly worn this dress with timberland heels to balance the length/loudness on my frame, but have also rocked with some western mules and white velcro sneaks. The autumnal aesthetic works great for my coloring and the patchwork pattern is sure to grab, if not jab, eyes. Also, even though this dress is noted as a v-neck, I wore it buttoned-up for that cult-life lewk due to the placket ruffles. The Experience: Everyone loves this dress on me as they will on you, including random street strangers who will feel the need to tell you. My favorite compliment, though, was from a coworker who told me, "I want to rob you in a dark alley for this dress." It also doesn't wrinkle TOO much but it can get clingy after a day at the desk. Since I'm also stylist, I always have a travel size static guard in my purse so it's not an issue for post-work whatevs. Five Stars! Will probably keep this for a little while. #sorrynotsorry

All my SK8R girl dreams come true.
The fit is definitely huge, but that's how Marni had shown similar style on the runway. It reminds me of an adult version of something I dreamed about getting from Delia*s or Alloy as a teenager. I wore it with some side-striped jeans and platform sandals to complete my late nineties skate aesthetic. Mine was a size down from my usual size but I'd recommend at least 2-3 sizes down for those of you who want a less oversized look.

Comfy and compliment-worthy.
Wore this for Easter Brunch and got a ton of compliments, even from strangers. It's super soft and incredibly comfy. Normally wear 12/14, larger bust and hips, and the dress was still a little big but not ridiculous.

So versatile.
I absolutely love this bag and have been using it consistently for over a month. I love that you have 3 options of carrying this: with the top handle, with the strap short, with the strap long. If this was large enough to hold a laptop I would totally keep it. Still large enough to hold quite a bit of stuff and enough sections throughout to keep things organized.

Wore this dress with some Sottsass-inspired earrings and skinny cat-eye sunglasses. Felt so very modern Memphis Milano. Got tons of compliments from both sexes. Ended up buying it because it was THAT good. It was a smidge long (nothing a tailor can't fix) but petite renters beware. Also, wrinkles easier than I'd like but I also feel it hides the wrinkles well.

Comfortable as sweats!
Absolutely in love with these! They're insanely comfortable and I love the flare fit! Only downside if your thighs touch, they will pill where your thighs meet.

Rid myself of fast-fashion & actually saving money.
Initially signed up for this when it was only $99/mo in July '15 but waitlisted until January '16 when the price went to $129/mo. Was thinking I would only keep it for a few months but I really can't see myself stopping now, at least until another rate hike. After learning just how bad fast fashion is for the world, I find RTR to be my best clothing alternative. All I really need are good quality basics in my closet and RTR Unlimited provides the je ne sais quoi I crave. Since I am someone who bores of clothes quickly (bad habit), RTR Unlimited has seriously saved me money. My only wish is that shipping was overnight so the turnaround would be faster but I understand overnighting would eat away their profits.

I would just like to preface that due to the fact of the front zipper, I initially tried this on backwards. Cute dress but not as edgy as I'd like. This dress is not ideal for a shorter torso'd woman like myself but it works.

Digging it, just wish I ordered down a size.
Initially rented this as a possibility for wedding guest dress on my Unlimited account. Wore it a few times to work and received compliments and also for said wedding's brunch but really loved that I had it for a SFMOMA preview party that I attended. I wish I would have ordered a size down though, as it was loose on me. From the arm holes, you could actually see my bra. Thinking a smaller size may have complimented my short, busty pear body more.

I have found my LBD.
I'm 32 and never have I found my go to LBD. THIS dress is it! It fits me and my personality! Even with my curves it works gloriously and the grommets give it just enough edge. For work I wear it with a nice coat, for weekends my moto jacket, and it works for both!

Buzz's Girlfriend... Woof!
Love the look of this dress but for a curvy shorty like me it was just a giant, awkward yet artsy bag. I do admit not reading the reviews ahead of time and missing the fact that I should have sized down. I would almost size down 2 sizes. Still, the cut and color are tough to pull off.

I rented it for a work party but was way to cleavy. Wore it to the office with a white turtleneck underneath, instead. The combo worked well. Not a huge fan of the fabric, though, so I deduct a star. In another fabric this dress would be a showstopper.

Insanely comfy.
Sometimes I wear clothes that don't best flatter my body type because they are just too amazing not to. THIS was one of those items. While roadtripping around the southwest this was my go to. It had that bohemian vibe I wanted, while providing the comfort of my favorite "blankie". I even got compliments on how amazingly comfortable it looked.

I'm what I'd call a busty pear. Some consider this hourglass, but my hips are definitely broader than my shoulders. I wanted to love this dress but the heaviness of the denim on top put to much added weight to my top half. Belting it did not work out so well for me either.
