Classic yet modern dress
I rented this dress for a white party on a sunset cruise that was part of my wedding week's festivities in Hawaii. The color is more of a bone/off-white than a true white. The dress fit perfectly as is true to size. I did not wear a bra and it held me in. I definitely recommend spanx to complete the look. The 10L was great for me as I'm 5'11" and like to wear heels, and it was possible to wear 4" heels with the 10L.

Loved the snake-like pattern
The jacket is oversized but runs a little big. I'm in between sizes 8-10, but since I'm on unlimited, I tend to size up to be on the safe side that an item fits. That being said, this one did feel a little too big for a size 10 (even if it's an oversized design). I'll rent a size smaller (8) next time, but for the day that I did wear it, I received several compliments. I couldn't tell whether the fabric was overworn or that's how it is supposed to appear, so I'll have to try a different size and get back to folks.

It looks different in real life than it does on TV...
The shirt is made up of a very heavy fabric--it feels more like a jacket. I had thought it was going to be more flowy and lightweight; instead the fabric is a textured weave of some sort. Perhaps it could be better worn as a jacket--open--with a shirt underneath it. I just wasn't prepared from the pictures online.

It's just not flattering...and RTR put a scan code label on the belt, making it show awkwardly
I had wanted this dress to be so much more...it just felt sloppy, messy and not flattering. The LR was super large. (I'm between sizes 8-10, and I should have ordered a medium for a better fit.) The belt doesn't stay belted, causing you to lose definition at the waist and the inside of the belt has a scan code label affixed to it, so when the belt flipped over, people could see this tiny label--whereas I didn't know it was showing since it was on my backside. There are slits on the side, which don't really show in the pictures on the model, so if you're not looking to show your legs, beware because they will definitely show with how large/high the slits run on both sides. In a word: meh.

Great cocktail option for those wanting a little more coverage
I rented this dress for formal engagement photos. This is a beautiful dress that is well made. This is on trend with the cut out shoulders and the modern lace. It's definitely a show stopper. It's a great cocktail-attire option for someone who likes more coverage and might be a little self-conscious about showing arms and legs (as I am). I'm in between 8-10 in most designers, but Marchesa is always small on me, so I'd suggest sizing up.

Perfect dress for events like a baby shower or summer vacation--if only the bust area stayed closed
This is a very cute dress. The print is adorable (I wore it for my future sister-in-law's baby shower), and it's comfortable. For those who know this designer, the fabric is actually a polyester (not silk, which is what Yumi Kim is known best for.) The dress has a lining so even though it's a light-colored fabric, the lining helps keep the dress from being see-through. The problem with it, is pretty much what everyone else said--the bust area doesn't fit. I do have a relatively large bust, but it sounds like folks who are small- to large-busted had issues here. My dress had lots of little tiny holes in the front where previous renters had pinned it together. The dress really needs a couple snaps to keep it together because pinning it ruins the fabric and double-sided tape couldn't do the trick either...you end up thinking "Is it closed?" the whole time. The flip side is that the wrap makes your waist look tiny, so if only the front would have stayed closed...It does run a little small. I'm between an 8-10, and the large barely fit. Sleeves help if you don't love your arms: the flutter/kimono-type shape helps provide an optical illusion to make your arm look thinner. The length is not that long, especially if you're tall. I'm about 5'11" and I had to wear flats, but the dress unfortunately doesn't come in a longer length.
