I wore this for a Fall wedding in Chicago - the velvet material in the dress gave it some warmth that made it perfect for a chilly Fall evening. It could run warm in a warmer season. I am recently postpartum and this dress hit everything I needed: flattering, forgiving in the tummy area, and accommodating in the bodice - was able to wear a regular bra. I got a ton of compliments, too, and it was nice to feel elegant & pretty in my weird postpartum body!

Wore this to a Mardi Gras ball. Got a TON of compliments - this dress is sleek and sexy! I am a size 10, 36D, with an hourglass figure. This really accentuated my curves, and is very flattering around the bust. I was able to wear a regular bra despite the deep V, although you'll want that bra to be either a push-up or have a low clasp in the front. Couple cons - The fabric doesn't have a lot of give, so if you're sensitive about your tummy, it may not be the best dress without some undergarment forethought. Also, due to it being entirely sequined, when the dress arrived the skirt/hem area was totally tangled - you have to make sure the dress isn't stuck together. I was a bit worried at first that my dress would stick around my ankles like I had static cling, but once I separated it and wore it, I didn't have an issue all night.

This dress was amazing, wish I could own it all the time. It was very flattering over my stomach, which I appreciated, and accentuated an hourglass shape. As other reviewers noted, I was able to wear this without a bra which was a miracle of sorts - the way the dress cinches at the neck in the back acts as a halter of sorts that holds thing up well in the front. I will say this puts a bit of pressure on the neckline when sitting through an hour long wedding ceremony ... but a small complaint for a gorgeous, fun, memorable dress.
