Simple but elegant dress
This is a simple but elegant dress. When I first tried it on, I wasn't crazy about it (thought it was a little boring), but once I finished it off with hair, make-up, and jewelry, I felt like a million bucks. Dress runs true to size, and fabric is nice and thick. I also really liked the length. Small-busted women might fine that the top runs a little bit large - I had to wear a bra just to give me some extra volume, and even then I had to be vigilant against slips.

I decided not to wear the dress. Wasn't for me!
I really didn't care for this dress. I ordered it in both the S and the M after reading other customer reviews. The small might have worked a little bit better for me, but the sequins on the skirt were bent and out of place, making the dress look damaged. The medium was in better condition, but it was a little too big. The cut of the skirt and the black detailing around the waist and the bodice actually made me look wider through the hips than usual, while the narrowness of the cut of the top made me look smaller on top. In general, the fit just wasn't flattering on my body. The dress might be better suited to someone with a narrower frame.

I wore this to a charity black tie boxing event. The dress was beautiful and understated.
I ordered both the 6 and the 8, but ended up going with the 8 to better facilitate breathing. Once the back strap was hooked (which required assistance), the dress was very comfortable. I have a small bust and did not need to wear a bra with this dress. As a tall woman, I loved the midi length. Overall, this is a great dress!

Nice earrings!
I wore these with the Badgley Mischka Ivy gown to a formal event, and they were very nice. Large enough to be eye-catching, but not extremely heavy or too flashy.

Amazing dress!
I loved this dress! Seriously, I didn't want to take it off. I rented the 4L for a formal event on January 2. It ended up being a little snug, but that probably has more to do with holiday baked goods than the cut of the dress. It fit like a glove, and although it was a little challenging to sit down, otherwise it was very comfortable. The long length was great. I'm 5'11" and I was able to wear 2.5" heels without the dress looking short. The bodice was sturdy enough that I didn't have to wear a bra, and the sequins are heavy enough that the dress draped beautifully. Most importantly, I felt like a goddess and received tons of compliments. I would highly recommend this dress!
