Sheer material stiffer than expected. Wasn’t necessarily a bad surprise. Just a thing that happened.
Actually it did make it more formal. So if that’s your aim, go nuts!

If I were 3-4" shorter, I would probably buy this dress.
Rented with Unlimited for a wedding. The dress itself is bomb. The cut outs are of optimal size in flattering location and pretty sure the color (a bit more vivid slash aesthetically pleasing in person) would complement any skin tone under the sun. Figuratively. Well, literally too, but I'm sure it'd look just as dope under the moon. Plot twist. The length ended up being the deciding factor, so I ended up having to go with another dress which hung a few inches longer. RIP to the opportunity though because this dress was one of my favorites.

Say yes to the dress! Then maybe swing by Home Depot.
Fit was true to size. Length was not ideal, but worked after a few shoe changes. I'm around 5'8" and wore 2-3"-ish heels and they worked well enough. As long as I was mindful of my posture, the neckline was never an issue. Because I didn't want to look like I was strapped to a roller coaster or wearing a back brace the entire night, I wanted to pack safeguards. The whole taping clothes to skin thing isn't always comfortable or fool-proof, so I decided to forgo the otherwise standard method. Unfortunately I didn't master the most-effective (modesty-saving) tape technique until halfway through the reception. So in that regard, I'd probs recommend being more prepared than I was. For anyone open to suggestions (or who hasn't scoured YouTube yet), your chest game is about to change: What ended up working actual magic was gaffers (cloth) tape. Depending on direction, you pretty much get to choose how little (or much) you'd like to reveal. And it comes in black, so you don't have constantly worry about keeping the tape itself covered. So essentially it's a solution for a solution. Not sure if that can be considered meta, but it should. (Note: Before figuring out the aforementioned method I will now be using until the end of time, I tried about 10 of the usual contraptions advertised as deep-neckline-specific. However, in my experience, as far as 36B/34C goes, they were all Nopes.)

Flattering. More modest than you'd expect (relatively speaking). And just like, really pretty.
The sleeves were long enough for me which was awesome (and rarely the case). The sheer fabric revealed just enough to stand out (rather than stick out) in a room full of other black gowns. The fabric alone spoke to the quality of this dress. It's heavier than many dresses of similar style, but for me, that was ideal. The sheer panels aren't kidding around either. With very little to offer in the bust department, I was able to wear this sans bra, and without having to readjust or tape anything into place.

I know what you're thinking. Yes, there is a belt.
The style and structure of the jacket itself is awesome. In their early stages, some leather jackets can come across kind of aggressive -- something many people can pull off. I, however, am not one of those people. The matte look and more traditional cut lend somewhat of a relaxed appeal to the jacket -- suiting it for practically any occasion. TL;DR I liked this jacket.

Tassles of all tassles.
Larger than expected, which was a very pleasant surprise. The leather is super soft, but still felt durable and maintained its structure. No matter how many adorned earrings and necklaces are in its midst, this bag is guaranteed to out-tassle them all. Also, the cognac color is *praise hands emoji*

Super soft.
The medium fit well. To accommodate bulkier sweaters in cold weather, I would order the large for a little more shoulder room.

This dress is way cooler than I am.
The dress itself is incredible. Obviously the nude slip underneath is crucial, but I didn't think it was anything to write home about. Don't get me wrong, the slip itself is totally fine, I just wasn't feeling it. Upside? They are actually two separate garments. As in, not attached. So a quick shout out to the full slip my mom bought me in middle school. MVP for the home team. It did have a little bit more of a goth vibe than I was expecting, but the detail in the fabric kept the overall look from seeming too harsh. Once I added the shoes and jewelry, the finished product looked about 8 years more mature than I was going for. That said, I ended up wearing another dress to the wedding so that I can rent this one again for an event more suitable. Not sure whether the dress is running small or I am running large, but I will size up next time around for, hopefully, a little more length in the torso.

Pinnacle of purple with respectable scandal.
Basically, there are *hints* of scandal. Something I consider to be ideal for any dress worn in mixed company. Crowd pleaser for everyone in attendance: from family-friends to beautiful strangers to random ladies having a powwow in front of the bathroom sinks. A. Hints which only reveal themselves upon further inspection. B. Scandal (as in voguish appeal) in its most socially acceptable (and appreciated) form.

Upvote. One down, three more colors to go.
I rented these, foremost, because they exist. It was just a coincidence that I also wore them to three weddings. Some would argue they were a bit large for the more casual wedding of the three, but those some people would be (foolishly) wrong. A little heavier than I was expecting (not heavy, just heavier than I was expecting) but the clip-on feature made that a non-issue. Granted, I kind of felt like my grandmother clipping them on, but when is that ever a bad thing? Initially, I couldn't decide between (this) navy and the other colors available, but going with the darker option was definitely a win this time around. They're my lobster.

On point.
This dress is comfortable af. For real. Also, pockets. Which obviously are already game changers, alone. Between the style of the dress and the fabric from which it's made, the skirt hangs naturally; as in, without appearing too voluminous slash also not hugging any part of your body lower than your rib cage. True to size is the most accurate qualification from the options given. Explicitly, I'd say it's in the general vicinity -- neither one extreme or the other. Ended up with the 6 because 4 was unavailable, but clearly I'm not upset about it. For me, the 6L was more like a forgiving 4L. So it was definitely roomy, but not so roomy that I'd risk ordering (4L) if it ended up being the equivalent to a 2L. That is a lot of (arguably) unnecessary information, but to those of you who feel me: Cheers.
