I rented the XL since I'm usually a large or 12 in dresses and this one is so form-fitting. The body fit fine, but the off the shoulder straps wouldn't stay folded over and wouldn't stay up. I'm a DD during this pregnancy and have broad shoulders, so it's not like they didn't have anything to fit across! Otherwise, this seems like a fun dress so I'm going to try it again in a large for a bachelorette party I'm attending.

This is a great summer work dress. It is stylish and flattering, as well as lightweight. Only one compliment so far after two days of wearing it, so not a head-turner, but definitely a great maternity option. The tie helps give it a little shape. I will say that I am 23 weeks now (with my second) and I think it will fit better in the third trimester when my belly is larger as the skirt and mid section are rather roomy right now (but not ridiculously so). It can also accommodate a larger bust. There is some ruching in the chest area, but no weird shapes or points as another reviewer experienced. The biggest con is that it wrinkles easily.

First, to be fair, my expectations for this dress were rather high given the price tag. That being said, I didn't instantly love the overall sit and shape it gave me. I border between pear shaped and hourglass, and the skirt fit very tightly around my hips and butt. It wouldn't have been an issue if I had been standing all night, but it was rather uncomfortable sitting down for a long dinner. I also didn't love the way it hugged me in the hips. But, the fabric is heavy enough to be forgiving. The detail at the top of the dress is very pretty, but has obviously seen a decent amount of wear and had some stray threads. My husband said they were not noticeable. Unfortunately, both the lining of the lace part of the dress and my bra were both noticeable at times during the night. I am guessing the lining must have stretched more than the lace at some point when someone really busty was wearing this, because the lining was not completely flush with the lace and kept peeking out. Also, the dress was so low I should've planned better and worn a different bra. If this was a less expensive rental, I probably wouldn't be so harsh. But, for the price, this dress didn't exactly fulfill its promise.

This dress was perfect for a summer hotel wedding. I was not familiar with the other women going so wasn't sure of the exact degree of formality (other than cocktail attire) and my husband chose to wear a blue suit. Overall the fit was great. I fall more on the pear shape side than hourglass and this sheath provides slightly more give in the hips than other sheaths. Honestly, I probably should have gone with the 12 if I wanted there to be no pull, but the top of the 12 was far too baggy. The 10 might have been a little tight across the hips, but certainly didn't show it obviously. My only complaint is with the tail in the back; But honestly you know what it is from the pictures. I just think it would be a much better dress without it. I only went with the tail because I was in a bind! Oh, and the zipper is DIFFICULT. Even with the dress off it was hard to zip- especially the 12.

I picked this dress for a nice dinner during my bachelorette weekend. While I liked the color and the shape, the straps were definitely too long and (as you can see from many of the photos) the material wrinkles very easily. As soon as I sat down for 15 minutes, the dress was completely wrinkled around the waistline. Thankfully, the rouching detail masks it a little. But the straps were so long that my demi-cup bra kept peaking out the top. I needed to use fabric tape to fix the issue, but there was still a lot of extra room in the straps.
