Striking look for LA wedding; great on short girls!
First - this was super comfortable; the fabric breathed, was easy to move around in, and I managed to zip it up all on my own (had to have my date do up the hook on the top). I'm 5'2 and about 108 lbs, the XS fit perfect though was of course longer than on the model. I wore this without a bra or pasties in a chilly venue and nothing was visible. The slit IS high when you sit, as others have noted, but it was fine given the occasion and caused no issues standing, walking, or dancing. Still, this isn't a dress for a work event or church. Pro tip: iron this. The fabric doesn't visibly wrinkle, so you don't HAVE to, but a quick pass with a very cool iron (on "silks," no hotter) made this dress look much more expensive than it is.

Pretty, conservative, comfortable
Wore this to Rosh Hashanah dinner. It's a nice dress and fit well. The zipper was a bit tough to pull up over the waist "belt" area. Docked a star for two reasons: 1) the sleeves have a tendency to fold up and get "stuck" so I had to smooth them down a few times; if you'll be raising your arms a lot, beware; and 2) I'm 5'2, and despite wearing 4 inch heels, I thought the dress made me look a bit broad-shouldered, like the lines weren't in great proportion to my body if that makes sense. I think that part is a matter of personal preference though. On my 5'2 frame it hit lower than on the model - probably just a few inches above the knee.

Cute on petite women; tight in ribs, bit see-through, wrinkles
This was ultimately a very cute dress made from beautiful printed silk fabric! It is definitely made for petite women though - as in, short and small-framed. The dress hit at about mid-thigh on me and I'm 5'2; on a taller person it might be too short. As others have mentioned, the slightly heightened waist is very tight around the ribs. The 36 fit me perfectly everywhere else (I'm normally a 0), but I just barely got the hook closed. A bigger size would have been more comfortable, but would have been too big everywhere else. The fabric is a bit see-through in some light - I could see the shadow outline of my legs - so beware or have a slip ready. Between the open back, relatively short length, and the potential for slight transparency in the fabric - this is a date dress, not a family party dress.

Doesn't work on petite women
This dress is made of beautiful fabric, and if you're taller and have a longer torso, it may work on you. I, however, am 5'2, and the size 0 had WAY too much fabric on the back lengthwise - like, it's too long so the extra fabric droops down over the waist, and as a result, the back opening also gapes open. This dress wasn't wearable, there is nothing you can do with heals, safety pins, etc. Luckily, RTR sent me two free replacements in time for my event. Thank you!

Elegant and surprisingly comfortable
This was a nice dress - thickly lined, with boning in the top, so would be appropriate for a fall event as well. Slit in the back made it super comfortable to move around. I'm 5'2 and the length, though longer than on the model, was great.

Wore for my bridal shower - very cute dress; ivory NOT white.
I wore an XS (I'm 5'2 and normally a 0 or a 2) - the S was way too big in the waist. Fabric has some stretch to it, so you're probably okay going a little bit smaller than you'd expect, though as other reviewers pointed out, it may be too tight across the chest if you're very busty (a thing I don't have to worry about). The white portions of the dress are much less white than in the picture - they are actually ivory, which looks very nice, but would probably look weird if you have bright white shoes. The shoes I'm wearing in the picture are cream. The dress got lots of compliments. The rose gold zipper in the back is a really nice touch.
