Inner lining issues
Great dress, perfect for spring and summer. Unfortunately the lining kept riding up and rolling over the neckline. Otherwise I'd have bought it.

Scratchy
The dress is beautiful. Big flowing sleeves are very romantic. This would work well for the naked trend, not just a beach coverup. I would have bought it, but it irritated my skin.

Zipper rolled and bunched
I LOVE Halston, but this dress fell short. There were so many layers of fabric the zipper was nearly impossible. Then once it was, the back rolled and bunched and I couldn’t wear it.

Only the zipper is a drawback
Weird pockets… and the back zipper traps you in it until someone lets you out. Lol Must go to the bathroom with a friend, unless you’re more flexible than most But it makes your tits just as good as you want.

It has pockets, but I felt like an oversized frosted cake in this confection. Other people seemed to like it though, so maybe it's just me. I will say that the top was perfect for my ribcage and had a little more space in the cups but didn't look out of place on me either.

Impossible to zip
The dress is actually navy blue and gold, not black as I mistakenly thought. The neckline is perfect and the brocade is incredible. The problem is the zipper will ABSOLUTELY not get past the waist seam due to the bunching of the fabric when it's on a person, it works perfect on a hanger because the seams twist out of the way when you are zipping the dress. I was so incredibly disappointed.

One of the only Monique Lhuillier gowns I've ever rented that didn't have pockets. Love the high/low hem. It makes for easy dancing and walking. The ribcage was too snug for me, but I'm a box, no waist curve at all.

Perfect fit. Plunging back is easy on the bust and ribcage sizing. The slit is the perfect length and height. The length was only about 6 inches longer than my toes unfortunately. I don't know where to buy platforms that large or would want to walk in them anyway.

The sheer portion of the legs isn't noticeable under normal circumstances. It came up to high/mid thigh, if you're worried. I would have needed platform heels to get the length to work. The straps were very comfortable, not scratchy at all. Last, but not least, the ribcage fit was incredibly tight. For the XXL you'd need no larger than a 36 inch rib measurement (not the same as your bra measurement). Otherwise, it's even more beautiful in person than in the photos.

This dress is great... if you remove the tack (tiny stitches keeping it together) someone put in the top. I don't know if it was the designer or a previous renter. The tack isn't necessary for the design and makes the fit all wrong. Floor length in heels for my short frame. I couldn't get a photo that did it justice.

Incredible dress
The fit of this gown just makes you exude confidence. The drape is flattering and the asymmetrical hem makes it easy to wear, walk, and dance in. I never had to worry about the dress shifting or feeling exposed. I want a reason to rent this again!!

The pictures show how the straps are attached. The feel of them is just awkward, or at least was for me. Size up if you're curvy to achieve the right drape of the fabric. Subtle leopard print is more visible in person.

PERFECT
The best description I can give of the color is chocolate grey, rather like the color of a dark Weimaraner. The flow of the dress is very flattering. This designer knows a real woman's body shape, not just small or large, but actual dimension. This gives one the confidence for any situation.

Nude undergarments are a must. The cotton is quilters weight, not t-shirt or heavier weave. Be prepared to steam or iron it upon arrival, it wrinkles something awful. The color is amazing, and it has pockets!! Choose your size based on shoulders and bust otherwise it can be a bit constraining.

Loved the fabric and skirt flair. Well fitted through the bust and waist. No matter how the straps were adjusted they kept falling down. Drove me to distraction!! I eventually stuffed them in the bodice.
