COLOR: As others have said, it's definitely more of a rose gold than a yellow gold, so plan jewelry and shoes accordingly. A nude shoe is probably best for this dress. I also opted for large stud earrings and a long necklace worn backward to accentuate the beautiful back of the dress. SCRATCH: Some have said the sequins under the arm scratched them, but I didn't experience this at all. The dress was incredibly comfortable to wear especially with the amount of stretch in the fabric. UNDERGARMENTS: I wore a stick-on backless bra with this and that worked well. If you're on the smaller size, you could probably get away with just wearing pasties. I also chose to wear Spanx as the dress is form-fitting and I didn't want to have to suck it in all night and wanted smooth lines around my bottom. LENGTH: This dress is SHORT. I'm 5'8", so not super tall, but I usually need a longer inseam since I love a high (4"+) heel. I had read the other reviews and knew it ran short so I ordered the long thinking at the very least it would skim the ground. Not so much. I ditched my normal heels and wore my competitive dance shoes which have a 2"heel and the dress still didn't skim the ground. The back is slightly longer than the front, so it did touch the ground but didn't pool behind me. SIZE: I ordered the 10L and 12L and normally wear an 8 or 10. The 10L fit but was tight. I felt like I'd have to really suck it in all night even with Spanx. I slipped the 12L on and just felt more comfortable with the fit. OVERALL: I really did love this gown. It's not heavy - even with all the sequins. You'll stand out with the gold sparkling everywhere. I gave this a 4 out of 5 rating simply for the length. I wish the Long was just a few inches longer to allow us tall girls a chance to wear an actual heel.

This dress was so flattering and I felt completely comfortable all day and night. I opted for the 12 over the 10 since the waistband doesn't have any give. I should have worn a backless bra since the opening in the back doesn't cover a regular bra, but instead had my husband pin the back closed to cover it. It was much better looking when left open. Live and learn. I would rent this again if I didn't love so many other dresses on here.

I typically wear a size 8 or 10 but thankfully got both the 10 and 12 for this dress. I'm 5'8" and bounce between 155 and 165 lbs. Both sizes fit, but the 10 was a tad tight especially with the seam across the middle. I opted for the 12 to be comfortable. One of the greatest things is that you can wear a normal bra with this dress. I loved the gold peek-a-boo layer. It's definitely a brassier gold should you want matching shoes. Black patent leather would go well with this - I opted for gold heels since I had them. Overall this is a perfect dress for a cocktail party.

I am normally a size 8, but being 4 months pregnant I figured I should size up to be safe, so I ordered the 8L and 10L. The 10L fit perfectly - no need for a bra and the strap was a perfect fit, too. I wore 4" heels and the dress was still long enough without me tripping on it. It was incredibly comfortable, but the zipper did get a bit annoying when sitting in the car. I wasn't able to zip it up myself and had my husband help - I'm not sure I would have been able to get it zipped up on my own. Overall I loved this dress and got a lot of compliments on it throughout the night!
