I rented this dress for a black tie holiday party and the style was perfect. It was formal without being floor-length, festive without being too Christmas-y, trendy with the slight high-low hem, and it has pockets!! However, I really should have paid more attention to the reviews that said it was too low-cut. I thought because I'm fairly small-chested (B/C cup), I would be ok, but I was wrong. I pinned the straps to make them shorter, I used adhesive cups, and double-sided tape, and I thought all that would be enough. But I was self conscious and uncomfortable ALL night, which is a shame because I really did love the dress, but it was just not for me. I would say the dress runs true to size, although I do wish I had gone down to a 0 as a tighter ribcage may have made me feel more secure in the dress. Overall, it's a beautiful dress, and I would recommend it to anyone that has the confidence to rock the super low-cut neckline. But if you think you'll be uncomfortable, I would pass on this one.

I was very disappointed in the condition of this dress when I received it. The pleats in the front of the skirt looked like they were completely ironed out (see picture). The pleats around the back looked somewhat better, but the front just looked wrinkly in comparison. The dress fit true-to-size and the material is a nice quality and perfect for our fall engagement photos, however the plain flat skirt was NOT the look I was going for. I would advise to anyone wanting to rent this dress in the future, think twice before ordering a size 2, unless you have confirmation that they have taken this specific dress out of their inventory, considering it is basically ruined (I tried bringing the dress to a dry cleaners to have the pleats put back in, but they were unable to do so.) I counted on wearing this dress for the weeks leading up to our engagement pictures, and it was so disappointing that it didn’t look right. To make it worse, by the time I tried it on the night it was delivered, it was too late to get a replacement dress for the next day, and the representative I spoke to on the phone did not offer any other compensation for my dissatisfaction. I have been a loyal RTR customer for years and I have to say this was my first extremely negative experience; one that will definitely make me think twice about renting a dress in the future.

I rented this dress for a wedding in the fall, and it was perfect. The color and fabric is beautiful, and the high-low hem was the perfect "in between" for a black-tie optional wedding. I ordered the 2 and the 4, and ended up wearing the 2. The dress does run a little small, but that worked in my favor. I might have been able to breathe a little easier in the 4, however with the 2 I was able to go bra-less which is especially nice with a strapless dress that you don't want to have to be pulling up all night! With the 4, I would've had room for the bra, but it would've been annoying all night. I loved this dress and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for something a little different!

I rented this dress as a back-up for a black tie optional wedding. About a year ago I rented the Shoshana Kiss Me Twice dress and LOVED it - was hoping this would be the same fit, however I was disappointed. I wore a 6 in the KMT dress, but since i've lost about 10 lbs since then, i ordered the 4 in this one. It was still too big; the waist was baggy on me, therefore the poofy skirt did not accentuate anything - instead, the dress just kind of awkwardly hung on my body. I really think the 2 would've been perfect; i am 5'5", 130 lbs for reference. I also want to point out that I opted for a more "different" dress, since the wedding was black tie optional, i wanted something a little more special than a LBD. I think if this was the proper fit, it'd be a very cute dress, especially if dressed up with a fun necklace.

At first I was skeptical about this dress because there are hardly any reviews, but I'm so glad I took the chance!! I ordered the 2 and the 4, and the 2 fit perfectly. I am 5'5" and 130 pounds; the top/waist was very fitted (but stretchy - not constricting), and the skirt poofed out just enough to make a really nice silhouette. The length was also good- conservative enough, but looked great with 3" heels. I wore this dress to a black tie optional wedding and felt completely dressy enough - i paired it with the Badgley Mischka Crystal Cluster necklace and it definitely "popped" on the black neckline. Cannot recommend this dress enough - so pretty, so different, and completely comfortable!! oh and the open back is a nice touch, as are the little pockets in front. LOVE!!

I wore this dress to an afternoon wedding ceremony, 5 hours before the black tie reception (which I wore a long black dress to - didn't want to be that dressy for the church ceremony.) This was the perfect dress to wear on a cold winter day when it was flurrying outside - I wasn't freezing cold like I normally would have been in other dresses. The dress fit true to size, and I loved the lace. It was also very flattering on. My only complaint would be that the nude slip underneath had WHITE straps, which completely showed through the dress - and it was obvious, because I had my hair pulled back off my shoulders. So I ended up tucking in the white straps, which made the slip fall down and I had to keep pulling it back up. That was the only annoying thing, however I only wore the dress for 2 hours , so it was manageable. I would recommend this dress to anyone that wants a different LBD for a conservative event (especially in the winter!)

I rented this dress for a black tie optional wedding right before Christmas, and it was a gorgeous dress. Unfortunately my normal size (4) was unavailable in the length I wanted (R), so I ordered a 2R and a 6R instead. The 2R fit but was definitely very tight, and a little short. The 6R was the perfect length (I'm 5'5" and wore 3 inch heels), and although it was a little looser than I would have liked, it looked great on. The 4R (my normal size) definitely would've been the perfect compromise between the two sizes I ordered, therefore I would say this dress runs true to size. I loved the ruching on the back and the exposed zipper - it made me feel more modern and not so old-school black tie. I would recommend this dress for anyone that has a black tie event to wear it to, especially if you want to stand out in a subtle way.

This dress was a nice option for a fall wedding; it was different than the usual black that is so common at colder-weather events this time of year. The little sleeves and the lace details were nice touches, and the fitted bodice/fuller skirt was very flattering. I am usually a 4 in dresses and ended up wearing the 4, although the 2 I ordered as backup fit as well, just a little tighter up top. Overall I would highly recommend this dress for a conservative event in which you don't want to wear a boring black dress.

I ordred this dress as an option for a wedding, but since I waited till the last minute, my regular size 4 was not available. I decided to try the 2 anyway because I loved the dress so much. It ended up fitting, although it was pretty tight in the bust/ribcase (I couldn't wear a bra with it, it was so tight). So I opted to wear something else for the wedding, and instead wore this out for a special date night with my boyfriend the night before. I was glad to get to wear the dress because its so cute, however I could not have worn it any longer than the 3 hours I was in it, since it was almost hard to breathe! That was my fault though and not the dress - I'm sure if my true size 4 had been available it would've fit perfectly. I definitely recommend this dress - the color is beautiful, especially with a tan!!

I loved everything about this dress - the color (more vibrant in person), the material (thick enough that I didn't have to worry about sweat marks in mid-July!), the fitted top and the flared skirt. I ordered the 4 and 6, and ended up wearing the 6. I thought the 4 fit perfectly and made me look super skinny, but it was SO short. When I bent over you could see my butt completely, even when I wasn't in heels, and I'm 5'5". I felt that the 6 almost looked a little baggy up top, but I think that was just compared to the smaller 4 (I ended up wearing a padded bra to fill out the top, and that helped a lot). The length on the 6 was still pretty short, especially in 4" heels, but it was way more appropriate than the 4. So if you are wearing this to a relatively conservative event, I would size up in order to get the right length. Such a cute, fun dress - I would definitely recommend!

For a fancier summer wedding, I wanted something different than the strapless, short dresses I usually wear. This dress was perfect because the long length dressed it up, but it was very colorful and fun at the same time. I ordered the 4L and 4R, and ended up wearing the 4R. Although it was slightly short with 4" heels on, I'm so glad I went with the shorter length because I ended up switching into flip flops halfway through the night anyway. I knew that would be the case when I decided to wear the shorter dress, so I didn't really mind that the dress didn't touch the floor in my heels. All in all I was so happy with the dress, and loved having the option of two different lengths. Would definitely recommend!
