Big and loose
Professional style pants shouldn't really come across as "big and loose". Better words are "tailored" and "well-cut" and so on. And yes, this is my normal size, and yes I could have tried the next size down but I could tell the thighs/hips would have been awkward (the "pockets" problem so many of us have with pants). So probably these pants just weren't cut for me. But I've gotten SO many pants from RTR that fit me beautifully - - so I'm kind of blaming the pants.

Liked it a lot, but just didn't love it
The drape that comes with shapeless fabrics and cut is awesome. But there's a point at which, you know? When something is SO shapeless and cut SO boxy - it's moved past the attractive qualities that come from "drape" and moved into some kind of weird "what is going on"-land. This shirt was that.

Awkward fit
Just a hard No. I can see this working for someone who is "not me" - not dumpy and round and soft in all the wrong places. But that person is not me. And maybe part of the problem is the pattern, it kind of wore me rather than vice versa. I thought on screen the pattern would be soft enough to just garner interest. But it's too much like Great Uncle Buck's loud check pants that you wish someone would tell him to stop wearing but he won't listen anyway so who would bother.

Frumpy on me
Was too big (shoulders way too large, body swimming around me, etc), but if I sized down I could tell the bust would pull open. And overall the fabric gave frumpy vibes. Pepto Bismol pink didn't help (it was a warmer yellowy pink on my monitor.)

Fabric was thinner than I wanted
I'm expecting at these price points that fabric will be fairly substantial (and even when thinner, quality fabric drapes beautifully) - these just felt like thin inexpensive denim. Not flattering as a result of being such thin material - every bump showed. (Honestly, on the stick-insect model you can see how thin the material is and how not very flattering. Wish I'd noticed that before I filled a rental spot with them.)

So different and so nice to have brown as a denim option. Nice wide leg without being insane; high waisted (tho I am short-waisted so this becomes noticeable for me quickly). Bought them.

I'm living in these
The wonderful Levi's slightly loose waist (perfect for my figure), loose legs but unlike other jeans right now, the ankles taper back in just slightly instead of spreading even wider. Not a tapered ankle; just cutting back inward a little bit from the big loose leg. And uniquely to my height, they were not too long like so many pants are. These look fab. Bought them.

fabulously soft, comfy, warm, lightweight
Not itchy at all (cashmere-y feel), soft drape, slightly cropped but not crazy, long sleeves (but designed to have a big fold up like the neck has a big soft fold down). Color is rich and deep. Bought it.

Perfect fit - just not my style with the print
I thought the print would be more subdued; it's a beautiful dress, well designed, fits and flatters - but it looked more like it was wearing me than vice versa.

Very large, very boxy, very big shoulders
I don't think even sizing down would have solved the "too big" problem. It's just a very large design all around, long sleeves, enormous shoulder pads, etc. Lovely quality material.

WAAAY too long
One of those designs where, if you're a 12, you must be 6 feet tall kind of thing. I'm not. There was at least 12 inches of extra material below my feet (I'm 5'5").

Lovely sizing, lovely fabric, but so sheer as to be see-thru
I was looking for a work-friendly top and this wasn't it. Not just slightly see-thru, but clearly see-thru. Would need a camisole under it, and that's unfortunately not enough to make it conservatively work-friendly. Also can't say I loved the "wings" at my shoulders. They look great in the photos here but on me I just kept seeing a Halloween costume's wings, kind of thing.

Very way too big
I quite like them, but need to order again in a smaller size. These are not even "waistband kind of loose" or "a bit too long for my 5'5" legs" - - I was swimming in these from every perspective. Felt like size 16 or something - just really large.

Really a lovely dress in every way, but I've got a mommy tummy and this just did not have the structure or lining or whatever was needed to help smooth that area a bit. It's basically a sweater dress.

Very flattering, high quality design - bought it
One of the rare thin sweater-type materials that did not make my bust look bustier. The clean lines keep their own shape even after reasonable activity and a hot day. Perfect length for me, hits right at the hip bones so I can bend or reach and not show belly, but it doesn't do any of the ugly baggy too big types of moves that lower quality fabric/poor design often does. Just a lovely lightweight top with just enough weight to keep its design and cut intact no matter what my day throws at me.

Really cute, the geometric design isn't "too much" for bustier ladies
This felt and looked on-trend and flattering to a curvy person - the structure is solid and remains so even on hot active days. Not a flimsy crochet top, the fabric feels architectural and stays where it needs to be. Only possible concern is that it's pretty cropped, so just a good bend or reach will show a bit of the belly even with high waisted jeans (which is what I always wore with it, since no one wants to see my belly). So for the belly-self-conscious, I wouldn't call it a good choice for an active day. But a quiet day out it's perfect for. Breathes really well, comfortable in humid hot conditions.

Very flattering dress, with ruffles to distract from bulges and a cute/fun swing
Full disclosure: I loved this dress so much at home trying it on. Flattering (really flattering), without adding more bulk to places I don't want any clothing to add bulk to (bust, hips, belly, etc.) It's really well designed. But the full disclosure part is that I ended up not wearing it out anywhere - - I'm 62, I just chickened out about it feeling a bit like a modified mini skirt and maybe no one wants to see that. A braver 62 year old with a better sense of "I don't care what others think, this looks great on me and it's fun and I feel great in it" would have a wonderful time in this dress. The not wearing it anywhere was all from me, not from the dress.

Very flattering, lightweight enough for a hot day but does have a lining for structure/quality
Lovely dress, perfect for a fairly hot day. Was a bit on the larger side from the waist down, although I didn't mind the loose swing on a hot day - snug would have been awful. And it wasn't "baggy too big" - it is a very structured lovely quality dress, so it kept its cut and design with no problem, just gave me more room around the waist and hips than a "perfect fit" would have. But the bust was a perfect fit. So there you go - the eternal problem of finding a dress that fits our bust as well as our waist and hips - short of custom tailoring, none of us will find it off the rack but about once in a lifetime. Since I accept that no non-tailored dress will fit perfectly, this one erred in all the right ways given that this is a summer dress designed to be worn on hot hot days. Loose and swingy and generous, in a structured and well designed way.

Flattering to a too-curvy bust/waist
The fabric does that magical thing of being extremely lightweight, but also structured enough to give me a more streamlined shape than my too-soft, too-curvy body does on its own. No squeeze at all, it sits chiffon-like and lovely on a hot steamy August day - - but it holds its own nice straight shape and lines all day long. I kept putting it on without thinking in the mornings. More "dressed up" than any tank, but with all the benefits of sleeveless comfort on a hot day. No see-thru problems either, even with the super lightweight chiffon-like fabric.

All the Paige high waisted jeans are a bit squeezy in the mid section of my mommy tummy, but they all have some give and ease up after about 15 minutes and remain super comfortable the rest of the day. Even a long car ride in these didn't leave red marks around my mid section or any other signs of squeezing me too much. And super flattering cut and style - great structural lines on the hourglass hips and thighs, again even after hours in the heat and activity, they remained looking exactly as they did when I put them on in the morning. I reached for these blindly every day without thinking.
