Pros: Makes your chest look AMAZING (I was able to wear a normal bra), interesting/unique color, very flattering to curves, comfortable, thick/compressive fabric. Cons: Cut of the sleeves can be unflattering if you don't have thin arms (I did a tricep workout beforehand so my arms would look more toned, but they still looked a bit flabby in photos), quite expensive. Also, the sides of the chest area (under my armpits) seemed quite stretched out in the particular dress I got. If you're larger on top, this would be inappropriate for a conservative event because it emphasizes your cleavage very prominently. Fit: M was a perfect fit for me-L would've been far too big. I would recommend sizing down if anything-having much extra fabric will diminish the curve-enhancing benefits. I did not need to wear Spanx. I wore this to my law school's semi-formal, and received tons of compliments from both men and women. I normally would not have been able to afford this dress, but my backup dress was destroyed by the previous renter, and RTR's amazing customer service meant that I was able to rent any dress that was still available as a replacement, regardless of price. I'd really wanted to rent a Herve Leger, but couldn't justify the price, so I was thrilled to be able to rent this for the same price as the Nicole Miller dress I'd originally picked.
