Too small and too short for a 30-something :(
I ordered this dress for a Halloween party. I generally wear a 2 or 4, the sizes I ordered for this event, and they were teeny tiny. I'm 120 and 5'8" and while the 4 zipped, it was not going to last me the night. Perhaps I'm more modest in my 30s, but this felt like a party dress for a teen. Cute though.

Glamour in a dress!
I was concerned this was a little showy for a wedding, but am happy I went with it for the black tie event. I received endless complements and felt great in it (aside from the undergarments to hold things in 5 months post-baby!) There are two colors in the gown: gold and rose gold. RTR doesn't advertise this, which may be why some reviews state their dress had a pinkish tint they weren't expecting. Both are beautiful (I tried them on in the NYC showroom), but the rose gold was simply stunning. I was advised by the RTR stylist to wear nude heels, although it was impossible to find something suitable for an Oct wedding. So I went with black strappy sandals, black clutch and black wrap. I also wore a low-back bra which still would have shown, had it not been for a tab in the back of the dress you can tuck into your bra - genius. The dress is sophisticated and flattering - need I say more!
