Wore this to an outdoor country wedding that took place on a farm. It was a little chilly so wore a denim jacket with it most of the time and liked the look. I loved the length - I'm 5' 11" and wore it with flip flops and it was just like the model's picture. The 10 fit better in the bust (36B) but the 12 would have been acceptable, just not as fitted. It's a great dress and super comfortable!

After a minor mishap with my original order, I worked via online chat with Melanie R. at RTR to find a new dress. She was so very helpful and offered many wonderful suggestions for a replacement. Based on what I told her I was looking for, we decided that this was the dress for me, and I definitely did not feel like I "settled." I can usually wear a 10 (and on rare occasions, an 8), but the 12 was the only size available on such short notice. While there was a little bit of extra fabric around the middle, it was something only I noticed. I loved this dress. It looked great and felt so nice, and the length was exactly how it's pictured. My husband said I looked "fantastic!" We had to stand for 30-45 minutes while people walked through a receiving line and shook our hands, and I never felt the need to adjust my dress -- and that's aways a good thing! I'm actually glad I ended up with the 12 after reading comments from others that the arms were tight because I felt comfortable all evening. The slip showed a little while I was seated, but I don't think it's a big deal.

I had to laugh when I took this dress out of the box. Seriously, It looks like a choir robe on the hanger! If I hadn't seen how beautiful the model and RTR customers looked in it, I would have been in a panic. My husband eyed it questioningly when he first saw it, but when he walked in the door and I was wearing it and getting ready to run out the door, he said, "WOW!" I wore it to a charity dinner with some girlfriends and it was perfect for the event. People were dressed in anywhere from jeans to long, black skirts, and I felt completely appropriate amongst them all. I truly am sorry I didn't get a pic of myself with the dress on because I have to admit.... it looked good!

This dress is vibrant and beautiful. and perfect for a summer semi-formal affair. I usually wear a size 6L and ordered a 6L & 8L. The 6L fit ok except for the top: I tried to adjust it with fashion tape but couldn't get it to lay right. The dress made me look a little boxier than I am - when I saw the pictures I was surprised!! The length was a tad short for me (I wore 2" heels) but I'm 6' without heels and never expect dresses to be long enough. I love the color, weight and fabric though, so it's a winner for me!

This is THE dress! It's conservative with a little bit of sexy and you will receive compliments all night long! I usually wear a 6, but I often have trouble with jackets or button-down shirts fitting me across the shoulders, so I wasn't surprised that I had to go up a couple sizes. Keep in mind that there isn't any stretch in this dress. It may have been bigger in other areas, but it looked fine and the bigger size meant a very comfortable evening! This dress is everything everyone has said it is -- and MORE! Treat yourself: you won't regret it.

I always head straight to the traditional LBDs and decided to step out of my comfort zone with this one. We had two parties on the same night -- one at a trendy downtown restaurant, the other at a home in the ritzy part of town, and this dress was appropriate for both venues. The dress is comfortable and stunning without being over the top. It's quite beautiful in person. The black side panels give a slimming affect and help it to fit just-so. Many women complimented me on the dress and they were specifically drawn to the muted print being paired with black side panels -- the two complement each other without taking away from the lively print. I ordered a size 4 and size 6 and didn't even try on the 4 as the 6 fit comfortably. The fabric has a slight give and the neckline lays very well. I would encourage anyone who feels stuck in the black dress mode to try this dress for a change of pace. I'm used to accessorizing a LBD. When this dress showed up I kind of panicked. The panic was short-lived as I dug into my closet for ideas. In the end I paired it with black tights and black booties (and a very plain J Crew black cardigan, which I didn't wear at the restaurant but did at the home party) and it was not only comfortable but weather appropriate! There are many ways to dress this up or down. I also considered wearing tights with black boots, but I loved the way the booties added to the edginess of the dress. ** Sorry -- we didn't get any pictures of me in the dress!! ** I'm 6-foot and this dress is shorter than what I usually wear, but with tights I didn't feel self-conscious at all.

I wore this to a military cocktail reception in Washington, D.C. What a spectacular dress. It felt tight for about the first hour (I was the first one to wear it), then was perfect the rest of the night. It also felt heavy on the hanger, but not at all when it was on. The length was just right, and the way it fit and hangs really accentuated the few curves I have. It felt like such an 'of the moment' dress and I could not have been happier with it. This dress was perfect for a conservative military dinner. Having the option of renting an extra long dress (6XL) gave me the option of wearing 3 1/2 inch heels! The slde slit on the dress sent to me did not go past my knee, so the picture of the model wearing the dress is a bit misleading. The dress is very comfortable as well which meant a long evening free of shifting and silently wondering, 'how many more hours do I have to wear this?' Love how it cinched in my waist just a bit more... : ) I wore Spanx and a strapless bra underneath and there was no need for any extras.

I'm 6' 0" with a long, lanky body and a small 34C bust. This dress in size 40L was perfect on me with 2-inch heels. It fit like a glove, and I could not have asked for a better rental.
